Maintenance Pack now is called Maintenance Release :)

So MR0 is the 1st branch for official version, MR1 will come some months later with fixes and some new features...

Official-final release will come after TR ;)

The RC ran very well. I hope when they release the final it will work with the Windows 10 anniversary update in 4 weeks.

Nope. I'm not expecting to find any live links for a week or so. I'll let you know if I do.

I assume it will be, but that update isn't complete and Kaspersky stated they will not support Insider builds. Since I am currently using one, I will have to wait until at least August 2 as will anybody else running one. Or you can take your chances, it seemed ok in a VM I installed it in but I would not risk issues on an actual machine.

Offical changelog and main known issues:

WHAT'S NEW IN KASPERSKY TOTAL SECURITY 2017

Kaspersky Total Security 2017 provides the following new features:

    • Tutorials for the main application components available in the main window have been added.

    • Software Updater functionality has been added. Using this component, you can manage updates for applications that are installed on your computer. For example, you can automatically install only important updates or all updates.

    • Kaspersky Secure Connection has been added. This application protects your data on public Wi-Fi networks and provides anonymity on the Internet.

    • Software Cleaner functionality has been added. Using this component, you can remove applications from your computer, such as rarely used applications or applications that were installed without your consent.

    • Wi-Fi network connection notifications have been improved. Wi-Fi network categorization issues have been fixed.

    • Anti-Banner component operation mode has been improved.

    • Private Browsing functionality has been improved. Operation of the Kaspersky Protection extension has been improved.

    • Safe Money functionality has been improved. An option to send feedback has been added.

    • Application upgrade in the background mode has been improved. You no longer have to accept the terms of the End User License Agreement again during the upgrade unless those terms have been changed.

    • Mail Anti-Virus has been improved. The default level of heuristic analysis has been increased to medium.

    MAIN KNOWN ISSUES

    • When data is sent to Technical Support, the request number must be in upper case.

    • If the Always scan encrypted connections check box is selected, a scan is performed even if all protection components are disabled.

    • When you enable Anti-Banner, you must refresh all open web pages to enable Anti-Banner functionality on those web pages.

    • When the application is installed over previous versions, some applications may disappear from the list of monitored applications in the Parental Control settings.

    • The Software Updater component may be blocked from updating certain applications when Trusted Applications mode is enabled.

    • When the application is installed over previous versions, Trusted Applications mode is disabled by default even if it was previously enabled.

    • When the application is installed over previous versions, protection against screen lockers is enabled by default even if it was previously disabled.

    • If the application is reinstalled, the Software Updater component will be enabled by default even if it was previously disabled.

    • The Anti-Banner component will be enabled if Kaspersky Total Security is installed by switching from Kaspersky Anti-Virus or Kaspersky Free*.

    • In interactive protection mode (in the Settings -> Protection window, the Perform recommended actions automatically check box is cleared), detected threats processing tasks requested from My Kaspersky portal might not be performed if there is already a request to process the threat on the user's computer.

    • Backup and restore might not be performed for large collections of files (hundreds of thousands).

Weird, I see a lot of limitations of Kaspersky 2017 if installed on WIN10.
Didn't they took into account of these during the development of the new version? WIN10 has not been released yesterday.

I thought about switching a few machines to Kaspersky, but after reading that mess it seems that it has been castrated on Windows 10.

My question would be... are these limitations specific to Kaspersky or are they the only ones being honest about it?
