Update vs new version

    Is it better to get a new AV version or is updating it good enough & if so why?

    Depends on the AV. Some will upgrade easier. Some will bork unless a fresh install with specific instructions from AV manufacturer. Which current AV version? And what upgraded version. Otherwise it's just guessing.

    Upgrading is for the paid version,i meant just to install a new version vs updating.I don't have any particular AV in mind,just a general question if it makes a difference.

    Truly it's as different as I stated. Updating vs new version depends.
