Because some members here at Wilders throw the CTP, BETA and RELEASE issues together and then post in other threads that Alert is a program with lots of issues.
Also I don't want to see our development beta builds end up in public tests against fully released products.

Once the beta has reached maturity we will release a public beta.

No, IPv6 is disabled, both in Windows and in the router.

    534 manually installed OK (w7x64)

There appear to be no obvious issues at this time.

How do people access the video? It says that it is private.

  7. Pitty, It really is a great video on how to make toast of a competitor and deal with accusations. Article describing the video LINK

Seemingly Cylance managed to let the video remove, now claiming it are the traditional AV players who are afraid of this new entrant and bend the fair play rules. Nice touch in this play is that Cylance accused Sophos of "applying little security hygiƫne themselves", making it easy for Cylance to backtrack the test setup, LINK

A pitty the response of Cylance is less polished and to obvious in their accusations, now it just gets mean. Cylance should not had that spelled out, they just had to emphasis on bad security hygiene of Sophos and video being removed. The scenatio described by Cylance is of course also applicable to their own tour.

With Microsoft adding credibility to Cylance solution LINK, Cylance should have played the gentleman's/sportsman card with some humor (particulary because Sophos is British), but they choose a Trump like reaction (effectively missing a great opportunity to out play Sophos in social media land, where it is all about the likes, not thumbs down).

    Manually updated HMP.A 3.1.10.373 to 3.1.11.374.
    No issues to report.

When will the automatic updater be enabled?
Did you plan on waiting a little more, or is it because you are very busy that the automatic updater is not enabled, yet?

HMP.A prevented the Pale Moon browser from updating to the current version:

    HMPA vs Pale Moon.jpg

What should I do to let the update go through? Hopefully, not something that will require me to permanently "lower the shields" on Pale Moon.

You could temporarily disable exploit mitigations on the blue tile, update and enable again.

What strikes me is that ntdll bypass. What security products are you running? Norton?

Yes, I'm running Norton 360, version 21.7.0.11. Also have the following installed and active on the computer: Heimdal Pro v1.10.5.0, Spybot Search & Destroy 1.62.46, Windows Defender 1.1.1600.0. The OS is Vista HP SP2 x64.

Now, here's another odd thing: normally, Pale Moon asks to restart after installing an update. That was not possible in this case, of course -- but, after restarting PM manually, it says that it's on the latest version (26.3.1, x86). So HMP.A reported that it was intercepting something during the update installation, but then the update appears to have gone through anyway. :doubt:

It is Norton that bypasses the ntdll which triggered the exploit alert. If that happened at the end of the install, then yes the update is complete.

It looks like the update was finished, so it was intercepted afterwards.

Question. . . I just installed HMPA 3.1 on Win XP. I noticed that when I open my browser (Firefox), I get a flyout. However, when I open the same browser under Sandboxie -- no flyout. Is this operating properly -- or is something wrong? Maybe HMPA is not compatible with Sandboxieo_O

You'll need Sandboxie Software Compatibility set. Add HitmanProAlert.
You'll then find global template with Full Access.
Sandboxie Control > Configure > Software Compatibility > HitmanProAlert > Add.
Sans compatibility, obvious is no flyout and no encryption window.
And you'll need Direct Access to C:\Windows\CryptoGuard folder.

    Where/how do you do this?

Erik, what is the new feature? A cursory glance through all the options didn't reveal the secret feature - perhaps it's disabled in the GUI? Is it the encrypting sign shown as you type something? :shifty:

I can report that HMP.A 3.5 535b is working fine in a bitlocker environment with Bitdefender TS 2016 installed.

I have a possible problem, which I am sending as PM.

I was hoping for a few features in 3.5, namely -
    1) support for Outlook for Windows 10 and Outlook 2016 out of the box
    2) check for updates button
    3) resolution for Alt-Tab issue with Google Chrome

    Question -

Excubits Bouncer looks like a good program. What are the similarities and dissimilarities between HMPA and Bouncer? Is Bouncer an overkill on a system with HMPA?

Bouncer is not user friendly in my opinion. Look at the thread here

Ah! I just noticed Erik's post at the Dutch Tweakers.net.
    My translation from Dutch:
'HitmanPro.Alert is automatically updated, but only a week after the new build is released.'
I cannot recall that I ever noticed such information in the Wilders thread, perhaps I overlooked that information.
Anyhow, it's good to know, that enabling the automatic updater is done a week after the new build is released.
Thanks for your post at Tweakers, Erik.:thumb:

Look what the mail man delivered:

And ... we are able to reproduce the issue! Super weird, but reproducible. Stay tuned.

Woohoo :thumb: Glad you are able to reproduce it. Also thx for diving into the issue! :thumb:

I'm curious about the cause, TP-link must be doing something uncommon with there routers, since it seems the only brand affected by it.
