On my laptop, I am having a small inconvenience with Chrome. When I visit sites such as espn, when you scroll over the menus, they are not automatically dropping down. Now on my work computer, the menus work fine on Chrome.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I think i know what you mean. Are you using umatrix or a different script-blocker?

I visited the site, allowed scripts and after hovering over the menus nothing happens. Only the 7th menu from the left shows "action", the three *'s.
Then i allowed XHR (behind-the-scenes requests) with umatrix, and finally after hovering over the menu i see them open up.
If you have a script-blocker, it is blocking request and the menu doesn't open automatically.

That's what I thought it was, but I disabled ublock on that site, but it still occurs. I'm not sure what else it could be.

Maybe try the site in Incognito-mode. And if it's now running fine you'll definitely know there's some other extension blocking the menu. Then you have to find out which extension.
Or a specific setting at about:flags is blocking it somehow.
Or a Command Line Switch for starting Chrome...

I tried Ingonito mode, still no go. I'm not sure why, but it's not that big of a deal. Thanks
