Let us go cool and obscure today: a review of ReactOS, an open-source Windows-compatible operating system, including setup and installation as a virtual machine, desktop look & feel, customization, basic usage, browsing and multimedia, application management, resource usage, performance, various bugs and problems, relevance and future, and more. Take a look.

Interesting, but looks almost obsolete even before it's completed.
Development seems much too slow, considering how fast everything else is going.

I tried it some years ago:

    - it's again an Alpha version ?
    - does it works on 64 BIT ?
    - there is a live cd version ?

It was a nice try, but it is dead. React OS is somewhere around Win95/Win98, even XP is better off. Linux in comparison is around Vista/Win7.

Developers lack the resources and clout of Microsoft in doing rapid cycle update of the operating system.

When you don't have that, it'll always remain incomplete with a half-finished feel and look to it.

Windows is fast and stable and that's why its #1 OS on computers worldwide.

    Now at version 0.4.2, wow!
I'm tempted to download the live CD to see where they are now.

Also it uses FAT 32. Another drawback.
