You can force third party iframes into a separate sandboxed process in chrome/flags.

i wont, i have the powerfull uBlock and its brilliant support installed

    plus:
    - uBlock Origin WebSocket
    - CanvasFingerprintBlock
    - disable cookies
    - cookie button
    - redirect bypasser
    - Undirect
    - Vanilla Cookie Manager

that far for "security", and some minor stuff for convenience.
redirect bypasser is from opera store but you can download the zip and install it as local extension.

lastpass i wont give a **** - was hacked, and keepass is insecure when updating (lack ssl)

  6. AdGuard and Web RTC and New Tab 3.0. Because I use MemProtect I don't need script blockers.

Hi, Kees. Do you think that MemProtect can protect from ALL (not just memory related) attacks conducted through scripts?

  9. Chrome in Appcontainer and System lockdown for plugins I would say yes. Remember the excellent track record of Chrome (not) being breached in the wild.

Yes I was thinking more about in-browser attacks, like xss and similar. To me, it seems that preventing unnecessary code from running can improve overall browsing security.

Is that because you enjoy opening them in unsaboxed programs on your PC or is there a legitimate reason?

I've been looking for a decent redirect extension since I left FF years ago - thanks. Chrome's extension search function leaves a lot to be desired.

I wish 'disable cookies' used the wildcard. Theres an extension called Temporary Content Settings that does set a wildcard but its clunky at best.

redirect bypasser can be programmed too. if it recognizes a redirect the image popup on links - or RB replaces it in text (see option).

    quick example:
    left field
    Code:
    *://www.google.<tld>/url?*
    right field
    keyword: url

that should redirect google result links.
but undirect should catch them first.

those are universal tools - not specific for google like other google redirect cleaner.

disable cookies by deny/allow policy? not sure if that exists anywhere. thats why i use vanilla - that deletes not permitted cookies after restart.

    @mood - thank you

at first - adobe reader is using a sandbox, same sandbox like internet explorer uses.
but i dont use adobe, i use pdf-x. and no, any download is going into a forced sandbox - you can think this out?
any browser itself is running outside a box. successfully it works for years now.

This below does allow for disable/enable with wildcard it has some options but it doesn't seem to work as well as it did. You know a lot of these devs don't keep up - I'd like to strip out part of the extension and just use that but no skills there

You have a good idea with the pdf's I never thought of that but I can force pdf's into a program that is always sand boxed have to set that up myself.

    Setup and Chrome Extensions:
    • running in incognito mode
    • disable the default extensions (enable for on-demand use)
      • unchecked run in incognito
    • ublock matrix
    • ublock origin
    • ubloc origin websocket
    • tab cookies
    Removed Extensions:
    • httpseverywhere (not necessary wiht ublock)
    • privacy badger (not necessary with ublock)
I recognize that chrome is not idea for privacy, but at the moment security is more important for my personal day-to-day usage. I am experimenting with ways to limit the amount of information that adversaries might be able to determine from my browser and this includes running a second chromium-based browser.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this, it seems weirdly worded, but Chrome will open PDFs in its sandbox. I believe Edge also does this.
