That still does not mean that nothing needed was deleted. For example, a registry cleaner may delete a programs startup entry or its uninstall information from the registry. In both cases, the program will still run fine, but in the first case, it will no longer launch at startup, and in the second case, it will no longer be able to uninstalled from Programs and Features.

all my program are available at add/remove, and no startup entry has been removed, like i say before, everything is running normally, like it should..anyway the program have a backup feature, so in case of disaster like u mention, that should fix it.

But we are talking about registry cleaners...and some ppl like it another not! i was just commenting because someone talk about "false positives", and on my case, the cleaner did not affect in anyway (for better or worse) the system,

At this time, W10 keylogger protection is not supported.
It is under discussion, though, so, this is not definitive. Don't expect any news soon.

To everyone else, registry clean is OPTIONAL, as always. You don't have to use it if you don't need to....
If you are not sure how to use it, don't.
If you are not sure what to clean, check safe/recommended ones.

Registry cleaning is, in fact, safe and recommended way [along with registry defrag], that can increase efficiency of a windows system.
How and what tools you use, however, is another story :)

Hi GakunGak. I have a couple of requests regarding the settings. You know when you install a program it always pops up a window allowing you about 20 or 30 sec to decide if you want to let it run. I'm a slow reader and a slow thinker, so quite often it time-out on me. And the problem is, iirc, it defaults to "block and remember"?

My requests are to have, in the settings, an option to change the default time-out, which should include an "infinite" selection; and also another to change it to "block once" only so that if I re-launch the installation it'll ask again rather than blocking it automatically since it was remembered?

    Thanks, on it.

Just in time, I'm out for a trip for several days, but have the time to relay your idea.
If I manage to squeeze some internetz, I'll look it up and let you know. If not, wait until I come back.

Does TS extension use the Avira and BD malware url lists as used by their respective browser extensions?

Auto updating is prone to errors. The updater seems to attempt to update as soon as the computer logs on, meaning it isn't giving time for an internet connection to form. It needs to be delayed a minute or 2.

Hi guys. I am almost back so maybe Tuesday, I'll start collecting outstanding issues and emergencies, if any.

And, what's up with global stuff going nuclear like Myspace and Linkedin? Had to change my passwords all over the place. And teamviewer :)

    I really am a jinx :)

Hi, everyone, moderators redirected me here on this thread, I have some questions about 360 TSE (total security essential) and 360 TS (total security):

I always wanted to ask you one question that has bothered me for a very long time-we all know that 360 TS and 360 TSE uses both engines of BitDefender and Avire-but are they always up to date in 360 TS and in 360 TSE at the same time as both as BitDefender and Avira are?

Example every time Avira and BitDefender update/ipgrade 360 TS and 360 TSE should also equally update/upgrade at the same time as both Avira and BitDefender update at the same time.

And how good 360 TS 360 TSE (with both BitDefender and Avira engines enabled) truly are real world protection tests, file detection tests, heuristic/behaviour tests and similar?

360 TS and 360 TSE should be at least good as both Avira and BitDefender-but is 360 TS really that good or not?

Can anyone give me more detailed info about this?

And yes, I'm using Wondows 10 Pro 64-bit.

As for common features 360 has only detection engines of Avira and BitDefender. 360 has its own robust proactive protection and cloud detection, it doesn't have great Avira Protection Cloud (I believe so) and amazing Bitdefender proactive/cloud layers of protection. So it's difficult to calculate what's stronger. As recent av-tests show both 3 products are almost equally great in protection.

Simple web search shows that quihoo in professional tests like av-test or AVC is really good in default settings. I wouldn't expect much difference if you enable or disable BD or Avira engines.

When I used 360 they were rarely updated without a glitch. Sometimes one or both of them lagged for days. I wouldn't pay that much attention to them. Real strength of 360 is not in these engines.

I wouldn't expect such synchronous update.

On my 360 with Bitdefender enabled the BD definitions are usually one day behind the calendar date.

So, what exactly is the real strength of 360?

Do you perhaps have links of those tests, I know these tests exist, but it's somehow harder to find test results for 360, for some reason, or maybe I'm not just paying enough details?

But if 360 has Bitdefender and Avira engines with the same updates and upgrades and with the same definitions, it means it should be equally excellent as both Avira and Bitdefender in file detection tests!
