    I only use a VPN when I'm away from home, especially when connecting to public hotspots...other than that, no.

    Yes it's a matter of trust. If you trust it more than your ISP or hotspot then using it makes sense. Otherwise probably not.

    Yes when needed, albeit quite rarely (like 1% of my browsing), to get past idiotic geo restrictions.

    I used to but after the FBI stint with Tor, i wonder how long before they come after vpn users.

    Yes very recently started using it for the encryption mostly, but the other usual reasons most use it too.
