Did you try to add Malwarebytes Antiexploit? I believe it won't add to overkill.

I see no reason to use Comodo HIPS and Voodoo Shield together. What does VS add over Comodo HIPS?

Do you have Comodo Web protection on?

 

It is simply plain curiosity and learning a product hands on. My original setup just with Comodo, G Data, and HMP3 is more than enough. Especially with Comodo auto sandbox disabled. The HIPS feature is definitely more responsive and alert, even in Safe Mode. So in truth VS would just add another layer of protection with some overlapping. I can't give a straight answer on what advantages VS might offer over Comodo HIPS. I only know VS by its positive reputation and just playing around it.

However I will say this. With Comodo sandbox enable VS will indeed have the advantage over HIPS. Since the sandbox greatly reduces the HIPS strength.

I am a new user to Reason Core Security and when I did my first scan it came up with 5 PUPS. I thought pretty good since I run a lot of other security programs.
There is an option where you can expand detail of what it found and click learn more. When I do that it brings with it web page showing tons of info on that file.
In this example it found Heard protect and Spybot portable installs this DLL.

Actually I may do that. I do prefer the UI of ByteFence though.

 

Reduced the amount of security softs on my main machine i used to use; mostly because i don't really need them or i'm done toying with them at the moment. :

Removed: Webroot SA, Shadow Defender, Appguard, SEP firewall.

Kept: Sandboxie, ReHIPS, HMPA and Adguard

You don't use Appguard any more ? Do You think that Rehips is better than Appguard ?

 

i have some issues with Appguard , it may not be able to guard apps located on non-system partition. However with ReHIPS i don't get any issue that i can't solve (via tinkering it) and when set on Lockdown mode, it seems as good as Appguard, not even mentioning its sandboxing capacity. If the improvements we asked are implemented , i may not even need Appguard and Sandboxie.

I am currently happy with MBAM and SpyShelter Firewall. It's been years actually.

 

@guest so the programs your using its not for non tech savy persons you reckon? any suggestion they are old already and cant deal with this things. just recently at work a colleague was hit by a ransomware called ceber and crypted all his important files and asking for payment for decryption avg failed him

It would be even better if there were a number of walk-throughs of its features, not to mention a decent help file (I know it's still a beta, so there's time yet). As it is, it's very user unfriendly and it's not at all clear even exactly what the prog does. The development team needs to enlist a wider pool of testers and get feedback before release. Otherwise, it'll end up like AppGuard, good but not very friendly or intuitive.

 

im currently using spyware shelter premium so far i tested it with comodo test leak out of 340 it got 330 passed test even defeating bitdefender total security and hitman pro alert they got both 210 passed result will be using spyware shelter now to my protection now im thinking if spyware shelter and bitdefender total security can run together without problem because what i understand spyware shelter is concentrating on antikeylog and malware and then my bitdefender can protect me from viruses
