That is from the client software I assume. Using generic OpenVPN should get around this unless there are server side logs that they aren't talking about. I never liked the bloated Cyberghost client anyway. It is not needed at all to use their VPN servers. The other issue I've had with Cyberghost is that their IPs are blacklisted in a lot of places including MS update.
They gonna fix it in a few minutes. "during the update in the last weeks" - and everybody had access to this directory since weeks? ... and Cyberghost didn't notice it
It was visible when this thread was first started. Perhaps the Cyberghost forum admins decided it didn't make good viewing
I'm not surprised, given that the main reason such companies exist is money. When it comes to security and privacy, nothing beats OpenSource. Instead of BitLocker, use TrueCrypt/LUKS/VeraCrypt. Instead of paid VPN's, use community ones like riseup or autistici. etc etc
