Agreed. Businesses exist for the sole purpose of producing commodities and services that can be then be exchanged for profit. They have a finite budget and realistically can not afford to fix every security issue. Businesses perform a valuation of the assets they must protection (their own or their clients) and a cost analysis of any proposed work to determine how best to spend this finite budget to see the most return on their investment. What is more important to a company? This might seem unethical, but it is the reality of information security. There are not enough qualified people in the world to effectively design, development, deploy, and maintain the host of information and telecommunications technologies used world-wide. Most companies are forced to develop the capacities in-house such a designing their own proprietary software and managing their own systems. Worse, even if a company wishes to move into the securities market in terms of software development, they are at a major disadvantage. Hence we see all these start-up companies that push out a wonderful software application that promises to greatly enhance the security of your computer. Only to find that the software is buggy as hell, patches and updates are slow to be released, and before they can really make a profit a dozen other startups copy their business model and bring a similar product to market. It's not fair, but who said life is fair? Anyone under the delusion that security vendors are producing some kind of perfect software application are out of their minds. I'm sure that Ormandy feels it is his duty to report these problems to be addressed and I don't disagree with him that security software adds the attack surface area of your system. But I think folks need to come back down to reality from their ivory tower "shouting it's the end of the world" and accept that this is reality. There is no absolute guarantee when it comes to security and privacy. No company has the resources or budget. Now this is not to suggest that there aren't bad companies. Sure there are some that use this reality as a justification or excuse for being lazy and doing nothing. But you won't find a security solutions company that is perfect. All of them if put under Ormandy's magnifying glass can be made to appear as being incompetent, lazy, or corrupt.

Cool, but I am not trying the program again until they fix the lag that the program has suffered since the very first beta.

I too dont expect much from the upcoming release.

I dont like Comodo way of no beta & direct release. All the time they disappoint the users.

    - 'Sandbox/AV settings' link on system tray icon menu:
With this built you have the easy navigation to reach the settings part easily via system tray icon menu without openning main user interface.

In Windows 10 it only registers in security center as antivirus and not as antispyaware.
    Can you siketa confirm?

Appears this is still in 'beta phase' then.
See many issues again noted at their forums.
Need to test thoroughly and release only when stable instead of rushing everytime :thumbd:

Great, this should be the second final release and it still not register in the security centre. Good work. Comodo!

So basically the same issues since the very first beta. Too bad, as it would be a nice program if they could make it work better.

Looking to put this on a machine here if so.
Any members here running this with no issues, look forward to hearing your comments :thumb:

IMHO CIS or CCAV is for expert users or users with know-how of CIS/CCAV.

If you are an expert or with know-how of CCAV, I would suggest to give a try to CCAV with Sandbox option set to "Ask for Untrusted Programs". I have tried/tested CCAV with the mentioned Sandbox option & find it good. But Yes there is little lag on the first opening of programs & once you allow the programs its quick.

Thanks for your comments, may try this on a junk machine first :)

I beta tested their CIS for many years but:
    (A) Find their forum moderators petulant and rude. so do not frequent there much.
    (B) Just do not have the patience or time for beta testing Comodo products any longer.
