I downloaded the Recovery edition from the link provided by kaka. Thank you for that.
Its pretty much like ISR except support for modern PC. It would have been great, if it came with a option of creating a Recovery disc.
Because it can't be restored if one needs to perform Recovery in a clean HDD. One needs to start from scratch and install Instant Recovery and recover from the Archive. Time consuming! Any thing wrong with the mbr or partition table can make it quite redundant. Its quite not complete yet.

Unfortunately not going to happen. I've all ready suggested it. Reason is the following. Archives are mainly used by Wilders types. Raxco's main marketing thrust is Enterprise, where the can make an income stream. They don't even present Archives to them. Just getting them to understand IR is tough enough.

Peter, are you still using this or Instant Recovery ?
Does it work flawlessly with Windows 10 ?
They do claim on the web-page it works with Windows 10, but would be nice to hear some user opinions and experiences..

I use instant recovery. I don't see why it shouldn't work in Win 10. If Raxco says it does, then they will support it. I use Recovery, because I want the archive functions.

I don't run Win 10 on any of my machines, strictly WIn 7. I do have a win 10 virtual machine, and can test later.

Snapshot are copies of the OS on the hard drive and you can boot to any of them. Archives are off disk copies, and can be restored to the c drive. They give you all kinds of flexibility. Take a look at some the the IR threads.

Yeah, the archive feature sounds good, since you can store them on any other drive.

Is Raxco Instant recovery and/or Instant Rescue compatible with Windows 10 Solid state drives?

IR were always compatible with ssds. As for windows 10... at the moment it is compatible... but since win10 is a rolling update OS no-one can be sure about future compatibility.
