@koliko Try cleaning browser cache of both browsers. This might solve that. You may use CCleaner if you have one. I'm experiencing like that too. @Andra Zaharia
I'm running portable Chrome on a Windows 10 machine, along with HP, and the website gets blocked for me.
It did get blocked on Vista Business x86 -- cool! At least that part of the software seems to be working on this platform.
Hi, I'm using Heimdal Free 2.1.3. Please add these options in future release a) There is no option to exit the tool from System Tray b) Un-installation was not easy as well. There is no uninstall option from Heimdal (even though I can use third party tools / Windows default tools to uninstall)
Here is the uninstall script for uninstalling 2.1.3 https://heimdal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/207689335-How-to-uninstall-Heimdal-CORP-silently- In my case with version 2.2 I would change the entry to {9B4358D7-F778-420D-A4C8-C4F33B2796A0} Heimdal Agent 2.2.0 in the script.
Yes, this is correct. We don't have a menu yet, and I couldn't estimate when we will have one, but I'll talk to the team and let you know. Thanks for the feedback!
Hi there! Please send us an email at support@heimdalsecurity.com, so my colleagues can take a look at it. I don't think I can give you a proper response, since I'm not really a techie. Thanks!
Hi to everyone who posted about this. To sum up: - Heimdal still uses .NET 4 full profile - we will end support for Windows XP next week (soon to be announced - we will updated the FAQ accordingly today) - you still need to uncheck ipV6; we will solve this in the next few months as well and I will post here when it's no longer necessary to uncheck it. Thank you for all your patience!
Sometimes, domains that were once infected can remain blacklisted even though they are now clean. If that happens, a quick email to support@heimdalsecurity.com will be enough for my colleagues to check if the website is safe and whitelist it, so Heimdal PRO doesn't block it anymore. It's the fastest way to make sure. Thank you for your message!
Hi Jeam, We have updated the website a while ago to confirm that we no longer support Windows Vista. Windows XP support will end next week as well.
Thanks for the feedback, Roger! We're actually improving the patching system as I'm writing this, so in the next releases you'll see a separate list of the apps installed on your PC, and a distinct list with apps you can install on your PC through Heimdal. We hope this will make things easier for all Heimdal users.
Thanks for giving Heimdal PRO a try and sorry about replying to late. I'm glad everything worked out and I hope you'll enjoy using Heimdal. If there's anything we can do to improve it, just let me know and I'll be happy to discuss it with the team.
Hi there! Thanks for your feedback and here are some answers to your questions: a) https://heimdal.zendesk.com/hc/en-u...-button-to-allow-me-to-shut-down-the-product- b) For the moment, there is no uninstall option in Heimdal, but you can always use the "classic" uninstall process to remove it (details here: https://heimdal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/207631205-Uninstalling-Heimdal-FREE-or-Heimdal-PRO). We'll do our best to work your proposals into the product and I'm really excited for the future versions, when you'll be able to see many improvements. We're working hard on them and will share these changes soon. Thanks again!
thanks boredog for the script. I think its better to uninstall in SafeMode. Any possible of adding other browser's like Vivaldi in patching system ?
In Heimdal PRO version 2, what does the program do when you click on the big white hexagon that's displayed in the Overview tab? If you hover the mouse pointer over it, it says "Scan," and when you click on it, it starts to do a scan of some sort. But this scan takes an inordinate amount of time -- over 12 hours on a Core i7-3770 Windows 7 system. What exactly is this scan doing that takes so long? A Full Scan with NIS on the same system takes well under an hour.
We're constantly working to enhance our patching list with more software, but we're adding them firstly using the usage and demand criteria. I'll add this browser to the list and forward the information to my colleagues, so they can see if/when it would fit in the product development roadmap. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hello, When you click the scan button in the homescreen, Heimdal checks for outdated software in your system that you want Heimdal to monitor and patch. If it finds outdated apps, it will search for available patches, download and install them. This should take more a than a few seconds/minutes, according to your Internet connection speed. It is very strange that it's taking this long for you, so I believe that my colleagues from support should take a look at the issue and help you fix it. You can reach them fast and easy at support@heimdalsecurity.com. Thank you for your time!
