Heimdal Free and Pro

Is it normal that when Heimdal Pro is installed WmiPrvSE.exe consumes at least 10% CPU every 10 seconds? Because of this, a graph would show a sharp wave.

Id like a.exe too ,as the .msi fails to install on XP with .net 4 installed.I think they must be using .net 4.5 ,which isnt compatible with XP.If this is the case I wish heimdal would update their site to not compatible with XP

Im not 100% that they do use .net 4.5. I'm assuming that this is the case ,as after ages messing and checking why it wouldn't install ,I downloaded another program that was.msi and it installed fine.I also didn't get any errors when trying to install heimdal..just the installation dialogue boxes disappearing.

 

May I ask what the newest Beta version is? I am running 2.1.4 Beta at present.

 

short investigation - Heimdal is still using dotNET 4.0. The FAQ on zendesk is not right concerning this. the website instead is correct.

if you cant fix it your system is somehow broken or not capable.

 

Is it still necessary to disable IPv6 for Heimdal Pro to function properly?

 

Never mind. I tried http://notblockedbyheimdalsecurity.com/ and it was blocked just fine.

 

For those that have Heimdal PRO installed, can you confirm this please?

Also, Heimdal.Agent.exe is always consuming CPU in my laptop's system.

 

I can confirm that, installed the giveaway version and updated it to the latest beta. WmiPrvSE.exe causes massive lag spikes(15-30%) every 5 seconds. Win7 64bit, Eset Smart Security 8 with Spyshelter Premium.

I also didn't get any errors when trying to install heimdal..just the installation dialogue boxes disappearing.

 

Not seeing WmiPrvSE.exe spikes here, Win 8.1 x64.
Also Heimdal.Agent currently consuming around 0.35%.

 

Was that with IPv6 enabled again?

 

Have you opened the GUI?
Can you please open the GUI, then close it using the "x" button?
That's when my Heimdal.Agent would consume CPU all the time for me.

it disappeared here also for a little period, not sure what it is checking. but then the dialog came back and i finish setup. (win8.1 pro x86)

 

@XhenEd Heimdal.Agent did rise briefly to 3%, but then dropped down again.
No significant WmiPrvSE spikes beyond around 1%.

 

OK - blocked, even with IPv6 ticked.
