Does ZAM real time protection work with the portable version? Why I ask is because I've had ZAM real time protection since it was first introduced running it along side MBAM premium real time, and not once has ZAM caught anything where as at the same time MBAM did.

Manual scans will find things but not in real time,

MBAM real time, will block sites and catch things

    ZAM real time, NOTHING ever.

    am I missing something? o_O

i don't think it's a good idea to use two amw at once. you should go with either one. and from what i see of your post, mbam seems like the one you should choose, since you say it catches mw.

I'm using portable ZAM on daily basis, to scan infected customer machines.
And yes, protection kicked in sometimes, but not very often.
In cases where serve malware was detected, or blocked, ZAM asked for reboot and did a full scan afterwards.

    My suggestion:
If you are looking for a second opinion AM, install ZAM and let it do a scheduled intelligent scan on startup.
I rate MBAM very good, as a on demand scanner, but stopped using it as real time , because of system impact,
and frequent alerts about web sites that where questionable, but not really malicious.
µBlock Origin, with added filter list, does web blocking for me.

I found something disturbing, trying the above test links ZAM will only detect them if the program is open or open and minimized on my desktop, if it's closed out the test files blow right by it.

Now why would it be like that? that's not real time protection!

    Hi,
I'm using ZAM premium ( but not the portable version.) and it blocks the first 2 links without any issues.

I too have premium(lifetime license) but using the portable version.

I'm starting to think one needs to use the full installed version for ZAM to catch things.

Forget about ZAM, is there any portable software which is working even when it's closed?
    I don't think so.

    Hello Everyone,

Yes ZAM Portable provides real time protection for making it easier to clean infected machines. This way, it doesn't let the new malware execute while it is open. Real time protection is only ON while the app is running so if you close the app then you won't be protected against malware.

    Thanks.

Is Watchdog Antimalware Premium 2.21.186.29 (Zemana AntiMaware Premium) compatible in real time mode with other AVs. I have tried it in Real Time Mode with Emisoft IS 11 and HMPA and experience no slowdown or resource issues. But might there be a conflict of some type?
