Hi Brummelchen. I haven't read of any conflicts. If you are having problems or run into issues running the browsers sandboxed, disable the toolbars or addons that comes with Reason core (if there's any).

Hi Mike. I think version 5.10 is more secure than 3.76 but I doubt that makes it insecure. If I was on your case, I ll try switching software, try to use software that gets along with Sandboxie. You can read about some of the security improvements done to SBIE since 3.76 in the link below.

thank you both. i dont use reason core, i ask for a user who cant run IE. i know the support threads @Sandboxie forum that security do interact, but i did not found any information for reason core. thats why i ask here. my guess is that reason core insert some BHO into IE that will avoid startup. i have to wait for his feedback with full otl log files.

Let me make it easier for you. You can download the installers from the links below for 2 of the programs that Rasheed is having issues installing sandboxed. I tested both in W7, and all was well.

Right click the installers in a non Start run/Internet restricted sandbox, and Select Run sandboxed. Better so if you run them in a new sandbox.

For Moo0, I used the installer.

What you describe regarding Vtuploader, tells the sandboxed installation went well in your W8.1 64 bits PC.

All right, so that means Sandboxie is OK with Moo0. It appears that the problem is that Moo0 dont support W8.1 (I tested it in W7 and XP 32 bits). Thats probably why Rasheed couldn't install it in his W8.

On my old computer I run Palemoon and Firefox 32bit in Sandboxie and end up deleting about 250MB per browsing session. On this new computer I've been running Firefox 64bit in Sandboxie 5.08 and only end up deleting about 48MB per session. Why is the new 64bit Firefox sandbox contents smaller? I also have both container folders setup with a 1.5GB SoftPerfect Ram Disk on Windows 8.1.

Also, do you happen to know of a direct access rule/s to save filters, whitelist, etc. for ublock Origin?

Hi Innerpeace, in both of my computers, both 32 bits (XP and W7), if there are no files to recover, the amount that gets deleted is usually around 25 MB.

I dont use Ublock but I believe the file you need to allow access to is ublock.sqlite.

Innerpeace, if you are really curious on knowing why running your 32 bit Firefox takes more space in the sandbox than the 64 bits version, you could go into the sandbox folder and look at the size of folders and files.

Thank you Bo. When I look at the sandbox folder it shows 372MB but if I click delete contents it only shows 32MB.

I also found this about ublock. http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/...&sid=18a7aaaa106d203acce6f191056381cc#p118871

I'll have to log in as admin to set the rule.

Innerpeace, I saw the post you linked when it was posted but I suggested you try what I know worked a few months ago. You can test both settings, one at a time.

Perhaps using SoftPerfect Ram Disk has something to do with the amount of disk space that shows in your sandbox while it shows less when you click delete contents. For me it shows exactly the same.

Thanks again Bo. I'll have to fire up my old computer to take a another look but I'm pretty sure the sandbox has always been much larger. My samsung 840 evo died last year and I always assumed it was because I kept the large container folder on the ssd and deleted it more than once daily. That's also why I started using a ram disk. I'll figure it out though as I'm sure it's something simple.

I also found my sqlite file. It's located at C:\Users\usernamel\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\extension-data

This is what the rule looks like. OpenFilePath=firefox.exe,%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\extension-data\ublock0.sqlite

(username is your username and the xxxxxxxx is your firefox profile name.

Between it and the link (which leads back to a post by you) perhaps it will help others. Again, I'm on Windows 8.1 using a standard user account.

...\ublock0.sqlite file should be enough now, but on SBIE forums I posted rule to access whole folder just in case of database file name change or some other files appear here

Craig@: Yes, I know the thread was about chrome, but it was one of top results in google search ;)

    Looks perfect.
Hi Dun, it probably doesn't make much difference here security wise but is always best when possible (IMO) to allow access to an specific file instead of the whole folder.
