Can anyone explain to me what's wrong with this site? I posted link to a HIPS comparison, but it was removed, it's not clear to me why.
Read this post as to why Wilders does not recommend these types of sites, and why we remove those links: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/avira.345492/page-159#post-2546184
OK I see, so in principle, there is nothing wrong with the site, but you believe that the reviews are biased. I get that, but I believe that the links that I posted were all fair reviews, so that's why I wondered about this.
Being an Affiliate Marketing site, Wilders' Terms of Service does not allow such links, thus their removal when we spot them.
Yes I understand, I'm just saying that according to me there wasn't anything wrong with these specific reviews, but who knows if their other reviews are less trustworthy, so I can understand Wilders Security's point of view.
@Rasheed187 It is a scam. Rather than giving unbiased reviews, they give the best ratings to the products they make the most revenue from as an affiliate. They even own some of the websites they link to purchase the software they recommend. A good example of how their rankings are not legitimate is they give Driver Checker the number 6 ranking in the Driver Update Software Reviews page. This software has not been updated since late 2012, and as a result will not find any driver updates released after then, making it useless. Another example from the same page is that until a few months ago they reviewed Systweak's Advanced Driver Updater as well as one of the numerous rebranded versions of it. Despite them both being the same program, just published under different names, they were given different ratings.
If you give an inch they will take a mile... But seriously, you don't want any association with that site. It's not just for Wilder's reputation, but the general public we're supposed to inform and not try to mislead (they won't just stop at that one link you give).
OK I see. BTW, the reviews that I posted were about Zemana and SpyShelter, I couldn't find anything wrong with it.
