Looks like holiday chalets on the south coast. The UK isn't that surreal, well, maybe Bridgend is surreal. Interestingly, the UK has around 5000 km of coastline, which is approximately the width of the Atlantic ocean or the distance between the US Eastern Seaboard and the Pacific Coast. That's a lot of holiday chalets!
I just remembered the photo had a legend, it's in Southwold. I've always found it to be so, but I mean it as a compliment.
The South East, I was close lol. The English never really got the surreal if you ask me as it was always considered a European thing. I think the Welsh 'got' surrealism. I can't speak for the Manx, Cornish, Scots or Northern Irish though. But I think they probably got into surrealism more than the English. I have Scouse relatives, I'm pretty sure they're surreal.
You can get this from Windows Desktop backgrounds (about three quarters down the page and it's called Southwold Dunes, Suffolk) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/wallpaper?T1=flora
Cornwall in particular is very nice as is most of the english south coast...beware of pirates in cornwall though lol
Three Men in More than One Boat is filmed in the south cost, particularly Cornwall, the whole place is strikingly beautiful; worth watching (as is the rest of the series).
Isn't that The West Country? Besides, An Parti Kenethlegek Kernow would disagree Cornwall is in England. Also, the people of Cornwall aren't actually all pirates, they just sound like pirates.
yes just across the river tamar from devon..Certainly cornwall and the people of cornwall are quite unique amongst the english...independence.?.i think the APKK is just like the welsh plaid cymru..lot of voice with no real political power.
Dave are you a cornishman by any chance. You defend cornwall like a native lol. Thank you for the link.
I've read that book for the first time when I was 16, read it 6 or 7 times by now, will read it again. I remember learning about it in one of Cribb's episodes, that series is definitely worth watching as well, very underrated.
Yeah, it's a classic. I read somewhere it became popular with troops during the Boer War for some reason.
I have some Welsh and Cornish ancestry, but I wasn't born in Cornwall or Wales. Although I lived in Wales for a few years and was educated there. Welsh and Cornish are related languages.
