I can't find any substantial reviews. FWIW there are screenshots at Softpedia: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/Secure-Hunter-Anti-Malware-Professional.shtml There's also a website at securehunter.com - the usual high gloss. If I read it correctly they've only been around for a couple of years.
To be honest, perhaps it's not fair, but I'm very skeptical about these kind of products. I mean what can they offer that the big AV companies can't?
An Annoying And Unnecessary Propensity For Capitalizing Every Single Word? I Don't See Any Big AV Company Doing That.
Several years? And they have already managed to release a version 1.0.1? That fills me with confidence.
Yes indeed , include me out ! There is occasionally something useful on this site , but this definitely isn't in that category
Negative reviews from the WoT community on their website, however there's 1 favorable comment (the 1st one doesn't count, looks like advertising for the website). https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/securehunter.com?utm_source=addon&utm_content=rw-viewsc Flagged as distributing malicious software as well.

I'd be interested to know if it can be used manually? This type of program is typically automated, but I'd want to turn off the automation and just check for drivers on demand occasionally.
Do you recommend this particular updater? Is there anything that distinguishes it from any of the others?
A site search shows people use it and it's pretty effective, I use Driver easy on occasion seems good never had a bad driver installed, I'm going to DL and check this one out I've never used it yet so I'm unable to say.
Please report back the results. When I have tried it, Driver Easy has found 8 drivers, Driver Booster has found 1. I guess people like it, because it is free, but I am biased against IOBit products.
After going though all the red tape and garbage of installing and updating I finally tried it, from what I can see it finds about the same drivers as driver easy does, at least on my system. I did notice it says it only uses "WHQL drivers" these type drivers are MS series of testing process to insure stability and security of drivers installed. not sure if this is just humbo jumbo or if Driver easy does the same testing? but I thought that was interesting.
