The rescue disk which Nathan provides will be based on WinPE / WinRE from a Windows version later than XP. No wonder that this is not publicly advertised as it violates Microsoft's license terms.

The Startup Manager won't work under WinXP as it is based on the BCD store which was introduced with Vista. WinXP uses a different method for its startup menus (NTLDR) which FlashBack does not support.

    Cheers

    Hi all,

Just popping in to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year (year of the monkey).

We've got a limited promotion going on at xeroweight.com with everything 50% off.

Secondly, we're still developing, in fact, working on v3, which will be our biggest leap yet.
    • Multi-user support
    • Scheduling
    • Backup retention policies
    And much more.

As always, feel free to shoot us a mail at info@ax64.com if you have any questions.

    Best regards,

    Waj

A lot of people complained the release was performing worse then the beta's. Are you going to address them or work on V3 so you can collect more money. Not good.

    Hi,

We are working on fixes. Anyone experiencing issues we encourage to shoot mails to info@ax64.com. V3 is still a while away and collecting money although rewarding, has never been the intention for building v3.

Zach, have you sent your issues to our support mail?

    Thanks.

imo anyone still having issues when v3 is released should be given an upgrade at no charge. i know a number of people who the newest builds are still not working properly for who paid for either a single or multiple lic for v2....just my 2 cents

I have to agree with the others as of now I can't trust v2 at this point so that's not good as there is no reason to promote your software and I'm not going to pay again as I got stuck between v1 and v2 so I paid twice and for what?

However this thing eventually shakes out, this end user will be more than happy to jump on the wagon once the functions and features are 99.9% stable. I haven't followed this thread in a very long time but am always up for something new and unique when it's good and solid.

    All The Best

    Hi,

V2 will users will be continually supported, as our v1 users have been too.

Triple helix and Easter, what are the issues you have with build 703? Send to info@ax64.com.

The impression we get from this thread is there are a number of issues with build 703. But our support e-mail is show quite the contrary, we've not received a lot of support tickets for build 703. And for the few we have we're responding and working on them.

If you feel you've reported your issue here in Wilders, and its not being attended to, please mail us at info@ax64.com. There's a set SOP for tickets dealt with via mail and is far easier to track. This thread is great, but also a behemoth to browse and keep track of. Sincere apologies if your issues don't get attended to in a quick time frame.

    Thanks,

    Waj

I haven’t had any issues lately, but I haven’t done anything other than take snaps. Today I thought I do a restore and it took 25 minutes. The time was from one week ago with no abnormal changes to the HDD. When I restored back to the present time it froze up at 2.5%. I forced a restart and tried again and it apparently did a full restore and took over an hour (1.5 I believe). What happens now as in the past is after starting another snapshot (same chain) it will only go so far and tell me the target disk is too full. It’s not unless FB thinks it is starting a new chain, which it thinks it is doing.

Sent this issue to devs a couple months ago (never heard anything back) and again today.

I really want to like this program, but it's increasingly difficult. I won't be paying any money for ver3.

    Hi Waj

Sorry I have zero versions of AX64 as in none at present and not have for some time now. I was making reference to my possible interest at a later time when most all of whatever issues remain are completed.

    Thanks for the response.

I was running ver 3 (final).
It kept telling me my save drive was full when it wasn't. I reinstalled it and deleted my save drive.
It happened again. I got frustrated and uninstalled it. I am running a free alternative.
I didn't send a report because I am tired of being a beta tester. The way I view it, I paid for a final product.
Very frustrating. I keep giving this a second chance but it never stops disappointing me..

@Masterblaster: can you share which free alternative product you are using? If we are not allowed to do this, please send me a private message.

    Ah okay. That makes sense.

It is the habit of most Wilders members NOT to submit problems directly to the developer - but instead to post them here so that others will know about potential problems.

Also they expect that the developer will visit Wilders and investigate problems posted here - the assumption being that this is a support forum.

If you desire a different protocol for submitting bug reports and other issues, then I would officially post that protocol here.
