Spybot Anti-Beacon for Windows 10

That article is over 6 months old. There have been some new programs that have come out since then that are very good.

 

I will not go in details, as there are so many posts about at least six updates, for WIN7/8, that You should avoid, to prevent from more telemetry, than it was part of WIN7/8 when it came out.

Not all telemetry functions are bad.
I do not reccomend to kill them all.
Using the related button in GWX-Control-Panel does the right thing.

If You want's more privacy, You should not use Windows OS.

That's my point.

 

Which ones are you referring to?

GWX Control Panel primary purpose is to keep Windows 7/8.1 users
away from getting Windows 10 Upgrades.

Where are the Windows 10 Privacy related
settings of GWX Control Panel?

 

Is there anymore new ones recently released besides these posted?

If nothing else they help better identify for removal unneeded files and settings for me that are dormants. And if anyone who is followed down thru the years knows, I like a bare minimum and clean disk with EVERYTHING audited locally and accounted for

Any good Defragmenter also doubles for you as a forensics tool. It effectively uncovers files you'll never need or use that you never knew is been laying around on the disc. And my motto continues, a clean disc is a faster running disk (SSD's excluded because i'm not there yet with those)

 

OK I see, I thought these updates were only related to Win 7.

They don't exist, and that's what the misunderstanding was about. I was simply looking for a way to turn off existing telemetry services in Win 8, so GWX Control Panel won't help with that.

I installed SpyBot Anti-Beacon on a VM with Windows 10. Almost everything gets applied upon reboot, except the telemetry hosts. Is there anything I need to do in order to make that be applied on reboot?

EDIT: I see that it's fine now. I guess Microsoft keeps adding telemetry hosts and thus it's not easy for SpyBot to keep up.

I still like this tool, doesn't seem to be causing any problems and blocks Windows from communicating with most M$ servers.

Spybot Anti-Beacon Plus - One Year License €7.99 ?
Ok Installed this Was able to immunize Everything Without paying for Plus ,
When I decided to un immunize some of the Plus immunizer's it asked to buy the plus to remove the immunize Protection it just put on <<<< lol Is this a new kind of Ransomware ,Will keep protecting u unless u pay us > lol Yea Spybot Anti-Beacon Plus is very Broken .............

 

I'm also not sure what to think about this, there are plenty of freeware alternatives but I understand they are trying to make a bit of money.
