Does anyone know why my avatar has the image twice?

As you can see my avatar is showing my icon full size and then again smaller in the bottom right corner. Anyone know why?

 

Only you see two "sizes" of your avatar. Other users see only one.
Big avatar (1) is showing who started the thread, small one (2) indicates threads in which you posted.
