Innovative Solutions, the company behind DriverMax and Advanced Uninstaller, have just released thier own antivirus, Orange Defender. According to their website, it is "The best security system ever created." In reality, it is a very basic antivirus using the same UI design they use for their other products, and Avira's scan engine. As you can see from the screenhots below the UI is extremely basic. It would seem that is has no proactive protection. You can buy it for just $15 (but I don't know why you would). The trial version if fully functional for 30 days.

I know I'm going to be "that" person again, but if you give me 48 hours, I think I could do way better interface using MS Paint alone than what they came up with here. I've seen fake AV's less cheap looking than this...
I second that, maybe it's created by a 5 year old child. Furthermore, I wouldn't trust a software with the name "Orange Defender".
I agree, it's a terrible UI. Innoviative Solutions was established in 1997, and they have been using that UI style in their products for many years now.
I thought the screenshot was of driver max for a second I had good results with drivermax in the past, however, their av solution looks quite lacking. Btw 15$ is for a "month".
@phalanaxus I didn't see it was only $15 for a month when I posted, as I didn't click on the buy button. It's $35 for a year, and for tat price you'd be better of buying a better antivirus.
Has anyone tested it? I'm very skeptical about new AV's because trust also plays a role, but if it's a lot less heavy than Avira it could be interesting to some. Of course 15 bucks for one month is a bad sign of their credibility.
