This will certainly put software reviewers on edge a little. In some cases may force bloggers to lie just to avoid court action.
    Strange days.

Malwarebytes did not give them a good review either. Maybe they too are in the cross hairs. Watch out posters, you may be next!

Crowd sourcing for dollars is so abused today. I understand why Bleepingcomputer needs to do it - they do not have deep pockets. Corporate lawyers know this. They may end up negotiating to keep it out of court. Bloggers are not the 'press', when it comes to freedom of the press.

They have as much power of enlightenment as the established media.

BC doesn't have a thing to worry about. They just have to refer the judge and jury to WOT. Instant win.

From reading the original review, it sounds like an aggressive and unethical business approach I've seen often in other contexts. Such "businesses" are usually extremely sensitive to their image and reputation and will try to silence any and all criticism, sometimes by out and out bullying which can include frivolous lawsuits and threats of litigation.

**** on Enigma. World is going to hell and the only way to change things is to elect people who will take care of such problems and idiotic laws. May not happen with millions of uneducated idiots voting. I know if I wanted to blog about them I would, anonymously of course.

Speaking of uneducated idiots, you do realize the world is largely governed by theocracies, monarchies, despots and dictators? Many of them with token parliaments and electoral models, mere smoke & mirrors and even in the most enlightened societies subject to the human conditions of greed and corruption. Free speech and press are enjoyed by the few, not the many. Even then, while one is free to say/print anything, one is not free from the consequences.

As for the world going to hell, that was documented about 4000 years ago. Maybe before, we just haven't dug it up yet if someone observed that 5000 years ago.

Then maybe WOT should get worried about being the next one they try to bully into silence?

SpyHunter is one of the many programs I check for updates to daily, and I test every new version. I will just say this about it. There's good reason why you never hear of SpyHunter even though it has been around for many years.

So you like it or not? If not why check for daily updates?

No - it's not very good - that's why you rarely hear of it. There's a lot of software that I use FlashGet to check for updates to every day.

@zapjb Maybe they'll release a new version with better detection rates.

Here's a piece of software I'll NEVER use.

I'll do what's possible to donate to BP.
