The words are probably not correct but what I want is to take small parts (like 1 minute 20 seconds or whatever) from a 30 minute episode (for ex.) and then put the handful of parts together in one single video. Maybe add a blur effect from one bit of video to another. Can someone advice a program? Preferably simple Thanks.
What video format (mp4, avi, ...)? With re-encoding (slow) or without re-encoding (fast)? Frame accurate or key frame accurate? Free or ...?
@Joxx You might want to have a look at CyberLink's PowerDirector. You can v13 LE for free at the moment.
I use this freebie for the same purposes and found it easy to use - http://www.iwisoft.com/videoconverter
I only understood video format (any) and free (yes) Thanks, I'll give it a go. That looks like what I'm looking for, I'll give it a go as well.
Avidemux http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Video-Editors/AviDemux-test.shtml Any Video Converter Free (Ad-supported*) http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/ *Users are advised to pay attention while installing Any Video Converter for the following reasons: - Offers to download or install software or components (such as browser toolbars) that the program does not require to fully function - At program startup/shutdown, opens web pages featuring advertising or similar income generating content
You're welcome. Btw, Avidemux supports "Copy" mode (editing without re-encoding aka converting) which is much much faster. Of course, if you use effects (ie blur) than, if I remember, you can't use the "Copy" mode. Just don't forget to select correct format before saving your video in "Copy" mode. Last XP version is Avidemux 2.6.8, but if you download "usp10.dll" v1.626.6001 and put it in your Avidemux 2.6.11 installation folder than it works, too. Thanks goes to Dimio: http://avidemux.org/smif/index.php?topic=16568.0
