On this system, clicking on an image opens the whole web page the image is on. It has been that way for about a year now. This extension has worked best for me in changing the user agent: https://addons.opera.com/extensions/details/user-agent-changer/. The built in Opera function doesn't work as intended. I actually like the way Google deals with Opera 12 and gives me the old Google search interface so I don't fake the user agent much but when I do, I get the whole modern Google experience on Opera 12.

working fine here, all images present - no UA change. must be something in your configuration messed up

anyhow - opera 12 engine ist much outdated, get a more current browser. opera 12 also has also unsolved security issues.

So I believe now, because if I search images with Google and I copy the address of an image in the Opera address bar to go in, it opens to me a page alone images. But I already tried to reinstall Opera 12 - in the case it messed something - alone results. I hate new Opera versions GUI.

Same over here, a reinstall will often fix these weird problems.

I don't like - as many - new Opera: it is less configurable than v.12, especially Speed Dial.

opera and vivaldi dont let exchange the speed dial it is fixed to the "+". and it become slow.
i never really used opera 12, i am or i was a firefox fan. opera now ist test mode to replace firefox sometimes when there wont any difference in the near future. vivaldi and chrome are not really portable without a google account. thats why i chose opera.
you should let go opera 12.

have you fixed now your issue?

No. A solution could be install Opera 34 a part and use it only for Google images search - I don't want use IE !!
Opera until v. 12 was more customizable than the new Opera, and not only with Speed Dial. I don't want use Chrome. It's invasive, and moreover it has the mania to want synchronize all Google products that you use. I don't like Vivaldi, never used Firefox. Opera bookmarks are not exportable in FF is it ?

I gave up on the new Opera with version 32 when they took away the flags to disable syncing. They just don't understand their old user base which is all about control and customization. I find Chomium to be acceptable but only use Chrome for Google voice. Vivaldi is unfinished but a bit better than the new Opera. I haven't tried Slimjet as of yet but all of these browsers are Chromium and have the same code base. The only browser I find comparable to the old Opera that is updated is not Vivaldi, it is Seamonkey which has been on a path of small but noticeable improvements these days. It still uses Gecko and has a nice array of options compared to the Chromium based browsers.

I tried Sleipnir last year, it has Gecko and Trident: it was fast, and quite customizable, but it was not stable on my old system ( Seven 32 bit ); and I didn't like the presence of Trident, I liked to completely disable it.

seamonkey uses a community engine, its always behind and not the same, so many extension not working due that. ofc its a nice combination with a browser and it might get more users because mozilla dropped thunderbird also into community, maybe.

vivaldi and opera dont have much differences, same code base. vivaldi is more like chrome, opera more like chromium - i dont like chromium, awful german translation. slimjet is crap, never seen such piece of sh*t called "browser".

idd opera devs shooed lots of user with their first steps on chromium - terrible and unusable.
gecko its days are gone, servo is coming, not sure if there is working preview
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Servo_(layout_engine)
    https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Servo_(Software)

any how firefox lost over a half of their world wide users, in some regions over 70 per cent - most switched to chrome or forks.

    try opera portable instead:
    http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/opera_portable
as i noted there is not much difference between chrome, opera, vivaldi or chromium
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/crportable/

i only link those two because vivaldi and chrome are not really portable, on a different windows or different user they lose all extension and some settings. John Haller reported about this important change.

BTW opera and vivaldi dont have pepperflash inside, they use the npapi plugin like firefox if installed.

Thank you ! Great idea for me - if I go on to use Opera 12 - to use Opera 34 portable only for Google search ! :thumb:
    Get a look at Sleipnir.

I actually like the pace of Seamonkey updates. 2 or 3 times a year is fine with me. The extensions that do work with it are the important ones. Noscript, ublock, umatrix, and addblock plus all work with it. Seamonkey is not for everyone but I brought it up because it is one of the last of the power browsers like Opera 12 that is actively maintained. I actually started using Opera because it was one of the few good alternatives to IE when IE ruled the browser world. Nowadays, it is Chrome and Chromium derivatives and most of the world uses the same browser with the same engine just like in the IE days. The trouble with Opera moving to Chromium, is that Opera became just another Chromium browser when it was something really different when it used Presto.

I don't want to get into what browser is best because that highly subjective. With Chromium, I find I like it much better in Linux. The Windows version doesn't seem as well maintained or as painless to setup.

if some like chromium then google chrome or chromium may the best choice, it is under constant development. for portable opera is best and i dont maintain 2 browser with chromium/blink inside - i'd like to have same browser feeling at home and on the road. the engine of opera 12 needed too much new changes to be effective again - it lost its power. too bad. reason vs seamonkey here is that i already have a really good mailer - myself started with netscape and i changed to phoenix/firebird/firefox. more versatile and easier to customize than opera.
