Besides the fact that I got really annoyed by the fact that there is currently no way to buy HitmanPro.Alert as a company I actually uninstalled the trial for another reason:
Uninstalling some progs / drivers seems to trigger the Alert and the worst is that there is no way to allow the program to continue if the user knows that it is not malware. At least I did not find a way to let it continue. Not sure, maybe this is by design?

Yup, the anti-vm feature might trigger on certain installers.

Ok, this can happen but if I can't tell the program to ignore the warning and continue it is useless for me...

You may want to change Vaccination (on the orange tile) from Active to Passive. So you keep some of the functionality.

Thanks, are there any plans to let the user decide how to proceed in case of alerts or is this prohibited by design?

Alert is NOT included in the business HitmanPro licenses.

I see that on the page for home use it states the license for HitmanPro also covers Alert and that statement is missing from the Business page, but are you sure it's in fact not included?

well no response here I guess will hope email support is better.

I can confirm turning everything off in hitman pro alert including all exploit protections my laptop still breaks with it installed.

Also a lot more than event viewer breaks, e.g. device manager wont open.

    Ok 2 things.

1 - have sent email report of my problems on my laptop.
2 - Please dont use %temp% when running the scan, when I hit the scan button it makes a .exe that needs internet access in the %temp% folder which is insecure, as its good security practice to lock down that folder.

1 - Send them to erik@surfright.com for quicker responses. Our support is more geared toward non technical questions. If it is technical, the question will end up with mark or erik anyway. Sending them directly to us speeds things up.
2 - What location do you want the download to be written to? %temp% seems the only logical location to write temporarily downloads to... I'm open to suggestions!

Thanks will forward after this post.

I would prefer it either in the existing program files folder or if you cannot do that due to privilege issues then I think even the %appdata%\hmp location is better than %temp%.

Or maybe make it customisable which is probably the most secure option, so have it default to %temp% or %appdata%\hmp in shipping configuration, but allow an overide path. Then hitman pro has its own temp folder that potential malware will never try as it will be unique.

The computer is running Norton AV.
I see a firewall report that "Windows Problem Reporting" accessed the network at the same moment the crash occurred.

No problem with 352, so far.

    Just curious:
Fly out never (or rarely) appears on secondary browser. On default browser it consistently does.
    By design?

Yes. You only get a flyout from the first process. Otherwise you get a flyout for each tab you open which prove too much for the average user.

Hmm, "Temporarily unavailable", again. Should I uninstall Build 353?
