Does anyone run Opera on Android? I know Opera ASA made their reputation in the mobile market. Due to Firefox causing system freezes I've reluctantly uninstalled it. Firefox was responsible for the same behaviour with my tablet before. Opera is simpler with less extras but seems fast and reliable so far.

I don't like new Opera. What is the point when we can just use chrome. Classic Opera was the best browser ever.

Does Android have systemd? You could debug the freezes with journalctl. I don't know about other managers, thouth.

I don't know what it was like on Android in the past. I like a back up to Chrome and Dolphin, Maxthon and Firefox have all been problematical. A back up browser is always useful.

Opera Mini offers a few good potentially useful features - Opera Turbo which compresses pages on Operas servers meaning less data sent to your phone, this is a great cost saver for areas of the world where mobile data costs are relatively high (compared to income). Opera also has some good reformatting options that attempt to make pages that are not mobile friendly more friendly.

What's the difference between Opera for Android and Opera Mini?
