Sure, Jeff needs to save his livelihood. He still is profiting from keeping v4.93 alive. As for the version 5, his reply is clear. They don't have resources. End of Ad Muncher story.

I agree, maybe this thread as well as the product can go the way of the Dodo.

While I enjoy now Adguard I'm not somehow delighted from the Ad Muncher's destiny. It was a pioneer in ad blocking and I recall when I first used it I was completely amazed how clean and fast my browsing can be and in fact it was ever since then. Unfortunately they (Murray and Jeff) slept on their laurels too long and meantime the competitors raised their game and literally stomped Ad Muncher into ashes. A sad story.

Too bad, was planning to install AM inside the sandbox, to make IE usable. I only use IE once in a while for testing purposes.

I recall that although Ad Muncher didn't support Sandboxie officially, it worked almost trouble free. Yeah, true is that it was a couple of years back, I think it was v4.72 at the time. I found this article from wiki, it can be of help, maybe. How it goes today with 4.93 I cannot speak of. Filtering IE is problem as there is no flitering add-on like for FF, Chrome or Opera. However I encourage you to give a try Adguard, you won't regret.

I was looking for a freeware solution, but IE 12 (or Spartan) will get extensions support, so I will wait for that.

Sure. If you use IE sporadically like I do, it's OK. :)

The developer of Ad Muncher has no money to spend on developing the new version. So, its not going to come out.

Nope. Unless a rich person gives them enough money.

If a rich person gave them money I doubt they would use it on Ad Muncher.

You can always start a poll, "Will People Give Up On There Ever Being an Ad Muncher v 5.0 in 2106?"

[I saw I made a typo in the date, I meant 2016, but decided it's fine the way it is.]

Aside from juvenile posts the thread has no value now, move on folks, nothing to see here.

But in the mean time, lets keep reading and posting on it to tell people how dumb they are for reading and posting on it, and to tell the forum team how to do their job. :D
