Hi all. Can you recommend any word processors or text editors that can be password protected, that is, the ones which always require a password in order to be opened, read, edited? Thanks, koliko
Take your pick. I've never had the need to use any myself. http://listoffreeware.com/list-best-free-text-encryption-software/
Thank you! Nevertheless, is there any kind of software that requires password when starting, just like opening an MS Word password protected document?
steganos locknote works pretty well and you just drag and drop to convert files to lock notes. I thought it was pretty convenient. The security isn't enough to say prevent someone from exporting those files to work on bypassing their security implementation, crack your password, etc. But I think they are still pretty useful for just keeping some small notes and stuff locked away.
MemPad is a portable plain text outliner that supports encryption. I cannot sing its praise enough. http://www.horstmuc.de/wmem.htm
