If it is just moving to a different exchange, it is not going private. Privately held stocks are not publically traded, or listed on exchanges.

 

Clocks- Sorry if I was unclear- It will be taken private first. The total deal is for 9.3 billion USD and will close in the first half of 2016. This will take it off the US market, then it can go as an IPO in China whenever they wish. Qihoo's CFO stated a while ago that Qihoo will "get a much better multiple in China's capital markets" than in the US. The delisting of Chinese companies trading as ADR's in the US and then listing in China is a pretty strong trend this year as about 30 companies so far have done this.

For the Qihoo user this shift can be a good thing as with a higher valuation there will be more cash available for development.

Partnership? Purchasing an entire division of a failing company is not a partnership. As to bringing Windows Phone in to every house you need to check the sales figures since Windows Phone is still way behind in third place.

Keeping with mobile phones we also have Ericsson and Motorola. Then we get the likes of Woolworth's, Enron, Polaroid, Kodak, Commodore, Pan Am, Blockbuster, Dell, Sun Microsystems, Toys R Us, Yahoo etc etc.

No company is to big to fail.

In the event that Qihoo went down, other major players would step in. In the vacuum created, a rush would commence that could do more damage than good. Advertising would skyrocket, open war for dominance to own that large piece of pie and, well, things in that environment do not look pretty at all.
Innovation would slow down, opening doors for things that no one wishes to have or need. But, that is for another story altogether

Microsoft paid over 7 billion for Nokia. Google paid over 12 billion for Motorola. So your logic is flawed.

 

If you know a company is failing why take it private for 9 billion? Google purchased Motorola for the patents. Same for Microsoft.
Only time will tell what happens to Qihoo. If it survives, I will post I told you so and if it fails I will apologize.

They finally made it!

In my opinion 360 Total Security Essentials is the best free AV in German language.
No bloat, no nags, no advertisement, no launcher, simple and clear UI, useful sandbox,
Bitdefender engine and optional Avira engine, for on demand scans.
Likely very good boot-time protection. (verified for 360 Total Security only, so far)
Perfect German translation, even better than some major paid products.

I am not entirely sure if I asked this before, but I am still going to ask again. When is Qihoo going to make the 360 Internet Protection extension compatible with the webbrowser Slimjet from FlashPeak? I tried it out today, and it still does not seem to work with Slimjet.

Or does the extension not work with 360 TSE? And if not why is that the case? I do not need the extra things from 360 TS, but I would like to have a working 360 Internet Protection extension in Slimjet. Personally I think it should work in any browser based on Firefox and Chrome. ( AS long as 360 TS or 360 TSE is installed of course. )

 

Given that Slimjet looks like just another Chromium browser and even says it supports Chrome extensions it should work fine. Having looked at the site though not sure I'd trust them given the marketing rubbish they use to make it sound better.

 

I have been using Slimjet since the first of the version 3 came out, and as such I can tell you from personal experience that Slimjet is a great and safe browser to use. ( In my opinion. ) Slimjet is following the Chrome builds a whole lot closer then several other browsers I have tried in the past. The latest Slimjet version 10.0.2.0 is based on Chrome 50.0.2661.75. Their website is also completely safe to visit ... look around and download from.

As for their way of advertising the browser ... well they are not the only one who does that for their software, are they.

But as for the extension 360 Internet Protection, no it has never worked for me in Slimjet.
