They don't. They all have regular day jobs to pay the rent.

    haha, you've got it.
I know quite a few ppl working in IT companies do the same. They call it "stealth startup".

I have been thinking about this and I complained about false advertising rather than missed release dates,,,,,,,,I did not care about Rx missed release dates since if the program was not going to be stable a missed release date would be significantly preferable to what HDS did when they finally decided that the best way to test the stability of the program was to release it (as in the initial release of V10) and then deal with the fallout on an individual customer basis. Of course I was not please to be paying for gold support from the time of the first release of V9 until I finally gave up on the program and paid support when the release of 10 was such a disaster (about the same time AX64 first came on the scene and offered an alternative to Rx, I have never regretted buying AX64 V1 and still use it quite happily,,,would love to see a stable V2 but I am quite content to wait until its ready for general release).

Thanks guys. The core team are working on this full time and we will be releasing a new build this week. In the meanwhile, shoot any issues to info@ax64.com with logs.

    Thanks

May I ask if this will be a stable release build or just another beta?
And can you please stop these kindergarden games releasing "private" betas? As long as anyone can get it by just asking, then it is not private, it is just a means to make testers feel special and give them a warm fuzzy feeling (and a way to get their email addresses).

    Cheers

    Hi Manolito,

It'll be another beta. Appreciate your feedback. We keep the beta testing to those who seriously want to try it out and understand the risks. It also makes it far easier to keep up with our users when they report issues via e-mail. Wilder's is great, although support issues can often get lost in the maelstrom of other discussion topics in this thread. This method of beta testing has worked efficiently for us and our users and and we will continue to do it. A better way would be to have a sign up form for beta program on our site.

We understand everyone is keen for the next build and we're aiming for a new official version before year's end, and at least a beta build or two before then.

    Thanks!

Has there ever been a non-beta release? If I am right, V2 beta was released May 31, 2014. that's 1.5 years as a beta and still going beta. Comments about V3 but only comments.

Well, 1 week left before we get an official build plus 1 or 2 beta's before that. That's 1 build every 2 days for the next 6 days. Does anyone see anything wrong with that?

We plan to release a quick build to fix the uninstall fix, then one more with various fixes - and hopefully that second release can go live :)

    Merry Christmas Wilders!

    Hi,

We've released build 701 with some major fixes. We've pushed the beta to our private beta testers. If you'd like to take it for a spin, shoot us a mail at info@ax64.com and we'll provide you instructions and a download link.

Thanks and hope every one had a great Christmas.

Wajamus: Is there any way to have it backup a drive at shutdown and have it be restored at boot? If so, how?

    Hi Zero3K,

Unfortunately, we do not yet support this kinds of actions on events. Thank you

Just downloaded the new beta. All the details and the name indicate version 698. Not great

Build 701 contains the following optimisations

FIX Bug: ERROR_SHARING_VIOLATION on hot restore when SecureAPlus or Bouncer installed
FIX Bug: Uninstall issue on systems with attached SD readers. Uninstall stuck on calling flashback /uninstall
Task: When changing drive letters check for the existing last file so only the drive letter changes and then a full backup is not required.
FIX Bug on mounting: Drive letter is not assigned.
FIX Bug: Backups are not seen within WinRE if the folder is not default (My Backups/AXTM)
FIX: Task: Don't need to do a backup at the end of the wizard unless a full backup is required
    FIX BSOD issue

Two days with 701, over 5 images, about 8 restores and no problems thus far. I still haven't tried a hot restore. I imagine that still is hit and miss. It is causing a very slow boot from time to time as previous beta, but not as common. I sure hope this continues, however I recall things went well for a few days last time.

    Hi Dagrev/Stove - thank you.

Regarding Hot-restore (native restore), it is set as default. If it is booting into that cmd prompt/black background then that's our new hot restore at work - which should work just fine. Warm-restore should work great too. We no longer have the old style hot restore that restores from within the OS itself.

Did some limited testing. Imaging, both full and incremental work fine. Hot restore working fine here. Hourly images works fine. Uninstall without problem. So my only issue is still the combination of the way I use my system and the tracking file make incremental times a flip of the coin.

Is it possible to backup that tracking file, after each backup/incremental?
So if it would mysteriously break, you could easily restore it.
