I also installed yesterday the new version of Windows 10 and everything works fine. Try to manually uninstall WFC (see here) and install it again. Also, check your other security programs that may block WFC (MBAM, etc). Windows 10 includes .NET 4.6 which replaces all previous .NET 4.x versions, so this nothing to do with the behavior that you have described.

Reinstall after system restore did not work. Same symptoms.

Manually uninstalling it and reinstalling it worked.

    Thanks.

Panda free isnt updating, and is giving me "your computer doesnt seem to have an internet connection at this moment", as well as showing last update being 3 days ago when I installed Windows Firewall Control. I can get rid of the message as well as update when i turn off filtering in WFC. I've allowed every exe I can think of in Panda to no avail... any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

To debug connectivity problems, you can always use Connections Log. When a program doesn't connect, check the recently blocked connections (outbound and inbound) and you will make an idea of what files you have to allow. Allowing only the main executable of a program does not work always. Some programs use other assemblies (*.dll files) for updating purposes. The Connections Log is available in Rules Panel if you change the View combo box or even in the context menu of the system tray icon of WFC.

WFC does not block or allow anything as it doesn't do any packet filtering. You just need to define the proper rules.

Bug Report for the latest version on Windows 8.1 Pro pt_BR language:

The remote address value of entries in the log has an additional string "Remote Address " before the IP data.

Here it looks correct with the NEWEST wfcBR.lng on Win 10. Use you the newest language file wfcBR.lng from Binisoft.org website?

It does not seem to be a problem with the translation file. The OS is in pt_BR, WFC uses the default language, en_US. Maybe WFC isn't correctly skipping the string "Remote Address " that is present on the log file.

Edit: I wrote "Remote Address ", but in pt_BR it is "Endereço de Destino ".

Please make a screenshot where this string appears and post it here.

How a connectivity problem (improper firewall rule) between a program and Windows Firewall could be a bug in WFC ? :) I do not use Panda Antivirus so I don't know which rules are required for their updater. But, I will install Panda free on one of my test machines and see what rule is required. Unfortunately, I can't install every possible software to see what firewall rules are required to allow them connect to the Internet.

Thank you. This has nothing to do with the translation file. The problem is the way the security events are parsed by WFC. It expects ":" before reading the actual value of the Destination Address. See below. On your computer the ":" is missing, and the parser takes the entire line. However, it is strange that only on this machine this problem appears. I will try to fix this in WFC code in the next release. Thank you for reporting this.

I can confirm that the ":" is missing at the Event Viewer too. Someone at Microsoft is to be blamed for this.

I was not sure, if you use also WFC in "BR" ...

However: after Alexandrus answer it's clear now. Such things can be annoying, really ... I had also a similar case with my DE_CH OS and a DE_DE Program with "," and "." or so (NOT related to WFC).

    Greetings to you :)

Is there a glitch when re-sizing main panel to a custom size? After a few days of use, unexpectedly main panel goes back to default size:

No glitch. The window size, position and state is saved on each close. If the window is saved with at least one pixel outside of the screen, on the next reopening of the window, the default window size and position are used (bottom right of the screen). This happens because the mechanism that restores the window size and position can't restore the window if it is outside of the display area.

Is it perhaps possible to speed up the loading of the connections log, and perhaps to make it show only the last 100 or 200 entries?

I could give it a try and see the result. Currently, all entries from Security Log are processed and then are filtered based on the selected combo boxes to display some of them (inbound, outbound, blocked, allowed). This is done because all are logged into the same place.

OK thanks, because currently it takes quite long, perhaps up to 10 seconds or more. And it doesn't matter if you choose allowed or blocked connections from the last day.

But only OPTIONAL, please do not remove the possibility to see all entries.

Yes of course, the current options should not be removed.
