One bug I've found, if you do a context menu scan, and Zemana finds and installs an update when it launches, it won't do the scan after the update completes. I last experienced this behaviour before the latest update, but presume it won't have been fixed.

I have Zemana configured not to run at startup, so it the only time it will check for updates is when launched from the Start Menu, or when doing context menu scans.

 

But nothing relevant was added to it.

But everything related to RealTimeProtection is still not translated to German...
Doesn't matter much to me, but is inconsistent.

 

Today I had to clean a WIN7-64 machine, that had a manipulated dnsapi.dll.

ZAM detected this and the default action was replace,
but ZAM couldn't.

Where does ZAM try to get a genuine dnsapi.dll from?

Infected machines are connected to an isolated and restricted network, so possibly the firewall blocked a download attempt...

 

No go for me, encountered BSOD (rdbss.sys) after updating to this version (while trying to run Windows Update, using Windows 10 64bit here).

Same result second try after a reboot.

Restort back to previous version 2.19.1.659, no issue so far.

 

When I updated to v2.19.1.659, I blocked the updroots.exe, and got the following, and the scan proceeded unhindered to conclusion.







Today, when I ran the newer v2.19.1.703, I was not prompted at all by rootsup.exe. So, I guess it is no longer applicable with this latest beta version. But, do I still have any of those [dirty] 90 [aforementioned] certificates on my system?

Encountered BSOD (rdr.sys) during the upgrade, while ZAM installer was trying to run
ZAM Portable 2.19.1.703.
After reboot, ZAM 703 started (manually), no issue so far.

It was my very first BSOD with Windows 10 Pro x64 (Version 1511 - Build 10586.29).

After reboot, ZAM 703 started (manually), no issue so far.
Same result after reboot, BSOD (rdbss.sys) now.......

Back to previous version 2.19.1.659.

 

Sorry for the inconvenience. Please check the release notes and download the reg file we provided in the previous release note. That will remove those certificates from your system.

Can you please send me the minidump so we can inspect and fix the issue in the next release.

 

I've been battling BSOD's since yesterday. I started having them recently, and they have gotten really frequent. BlueScreenView points to a different driver for each BSOD I have had. A few times BSV pointed to drivers that I think my graphics card uses. When I looked the drivers up online their was discussions stating they were firmware for graphics cards, but all the one's I looked at on my system had Microsoft on the files when looking at properties. Maybe my graphics card uses them anyways. I've had 4 BSOD's today. I still suspect my video card firmware, but i'm using the same ones that I have been using for the past several month. I'm not sure why they would all of sudden start causing BSOD's now unless their is a conflict with a Microsoft update, or some other software that has updated on my computer. I have rarely ever had BSOD's in the past.

The reason i'm posting here is I see that Zemana Anti-malware has a Real-Time Protection Shield enabled on my computer. I did not realize Zemana had a Real-Time Shield that was enabled until a few weeks ago. I disabled it for a while, but it got enabled again when rolling my machine back to an earlier image. Could that be conflicting with Eset Smart Security. Since each minidump is pointing to a different file as causing the BSOD's each time I was thinking maybe something is trying to access files at the same time on my computer. The BSOD's are totally random, and I can never tell when they are going to occur. I went ahead, and uninstalled Catalyst Control Center that belongs to my graphics card firmware to see if that will help. I also disabled Zemana'a Real-Time Protection Shield. Could Zemana's Real-Time Protection Shield be conflicting with Eset Smart Security? I'm trying to cover all my bases trouble shooting these BSOD's. I can't get anything done for them. I hope uninstalling Catalyst Control Center fixed the problem, but I need to look at all possibilities. I'm using Windows 7X64 Ultimate.

I got several problems and one was BSOD, others where nonfunction mouse to a large degre and freezings.
Rolled back to previous. Logg - no since i could not use it in any other way than rolling it back so they of course got lost.
I have never had such severe problems with a software before, Zemana - what have you done ! ?

 

Can you please send us the Minidump file? Also, are you using Roolback Rx or a similar backup software?

 

Croatian language was not updated although I sent it before release....

Same here, and on top of this every time it detects something the pc becomes unresponsive, this time end up in a BSOD

Almost all translations are done by users (except Turkish and Serbian/Bosnian).
Are you German? Maybe you can translate the new strings (360-411) and send them to Zemana.
(IDK why Zemana doesn't ask the translators to translate new strings).

 

The portuguese translation is "weird", technically it is correct but it is very artificial and in the end it doesnt make much sense to the native portuguese speaker. I prefer to use the english version because of this ...

 

Updated to Zemana Anti-Malware 2.19.1.713 Beta, it seems to be running fine.
I didn't have any BSOD problems that were reported with the previous version.
