I really don't know, it just happens randomly at startup not very often on Win7 x86 with Shadow Defender.
On Win8.1 x64 runs just fine.

Another very annoying thing that happens when running with Shadow Defender enabled...everytime I reboot, ERP is hidden in the systray even though I have it set to show the icon. So I have to move it back everytime I boot my machine in shadow mode.

He did recently (Sep 21) intimate a new version was forthcoming ... ('I received that, I'll upload tomorrow a new build of ERP for testing.') :)

Guys we're fixing one important issue on SOB for Windows 8\10 OSs, then we'll continue to work on fixing ERP bugs.

    @Overkill @hjlbx

About the tray icon issue, I'll need to test in a VM Shadow Defender + ERP to try to reproduce the issue.

Definitely strange, will try to reproduce asap.

On second thought, I think it might be a ERP issue, because after upgrading Sandboxie, my system got stuck once again during shutdown. After putting ERP in learning mode, the problem disappears. I hope Andreas can take a look at this, because it keeps me from installing other security tools.

I tried to find this registry key but it's non-existent, it seems to be not used anymore, right?
Trying to add it to Shadow Defender's Registry Exclusion List.

It happens to me as well. I'm not sure if it only happens when using Shadow Mode though.

Any chance settings can become global, rather than user-profile-based? This is the only thing holding me back from reinstalling.

Also, is it possible to activate Lockdown via Scheduled Tasks?

I've recently noticed some command line entries have an extra character at the end of the line, resembling a space bar keystroke.

    For example, this command line:
""C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\VssRequestor64\vss_requestor.exe" -Embedding" <--- no space bar at the end, sometimes pops up as follows...
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\VssRequestor64\vss_requestor.exe" -Embedding " <--- ending in an empty space

If I enter the first one into Command Line parameters, but the program pops up with the second one, then I have to re-enter it into Command Line parameters to bypass future prompts. Is this Windows up to its old tricks, or the way ERP interprets command lines? It just started kicking up a fuss today; but have noticed the empty space vs no empty space issue for a while now...

I've been thinking about moving to a lighter setup and just using this + Windows Defender (in Windows 10 x64) as protection. I really like this program but I've got an issue I can't seem to fix. I'm using the very latest beta of NVT-ERP.

Whenever I install NVT 'ENG' pops up in the lower-right hand corner of the taskbar. I know this is a Language-related item (it seems to add United States as a language, when I'm based in the UK) but I can't seem to get rid of it at all unless I uninstall NVT completely. Can anyone help me solve that issue? I've attached a picture showing it.

I had the same issue on 8.1 so it's not a Windows 10-related problem. Thanks kindly!

Can you perhaps try to fix or improve "Install Mode"? Like I said numerous of times, as soon as msiexec.exe is used during install, then you will still get a pop up hell.

Any new news about the current development of EXE Radar Pro?

I really love this useful tool, but to be honest, it just feels like it's not getting the special treatment that it once received.

it will be slowly replaced by Smart Object Blocker i guess. Andreas and his team are heavily working on SOB, it is now their priority.

Hopefully they don't replace it for the sake of me and many other not power users. SOB is hard to configure and all that syntax stuff, well at least for me.

NOTHING attains perfection. OTOH antiexecutables don't need updating quite as frequently as most other types of security apps. However, I do wish that NVT would keep his main focus on ERP.

Yes, I wished that Andreas was more focused on ERP, because there are still some areas where ERP can be improved. And I'm not impressed with the latest NVT products, mainly because they are missing a user friendly GUI. I'm not going to lie.

    Quick question:

When you put ERP in "Learning Mode" for 10 minutes, and you then put you're PC in "Standby mode", in what mode should ERP be when you startup again after 15 minutes?

What else is there to do on this app?... apart from bug fixing when the need arises... I am pretty sure there are other apps out there that do what the various NVT products do... and provide a GUI... so dunno' why you have to keep mentioning no GUI or lack of GUI over and over again...

The same happened when gorhill was pummelled with uBlock requests; he bit back, said shush and you all "got told". It'll eventually happen here too. Mentioning the same thing over and over again... cheap way to clock up post counts.
