Hello I'm curious what IP should be when I'm connected to internet by Bitmask with black.riseup.net vpn service? As we know Riseup its USA based service and in USA servers are based but when I'm connected to black.riseup there is Netherland based exit node IP. Why is it not USA based IP ? Thank you for info.
I think Black (the versiom with enhanced security features) uses EU and USER (the first iteration of Riseup VPN) uses Seattle and NYC. I think... Also, you're tempting me to install VirtualBox... grrrr!
There are many of us here that could write pages on the security benefits of virtual machines. If you spend some time reading around here you'll jump to VM's without a doubt.
Virtualization is good if implemented right. Remember, using Virtualbox won't guarantee 100% safety, but that's a start. Also, don't forget that VirtualBox isn't 100% open-source; the most important part, the Kernel modules, are closed-source. That said, there are many alternatives for it.
