Prior to this release, keystroke encryption was featured only on Window 8. Windows 7 and earlier need to run PRO and Free for the PRO feature set with keystroke encryption, hence the reference to "automatically uninstall the free version" for those who chose to run both.

I must admit, I'm a bit turned off by Zemana because their support couldn't explain the technical aspects of their anti SSL-logger protection. And a couple of months ago some member posted a proof of concept how he managed to bypass the HIPS.

No, it was some other guy. To be fair, it was only a screen-shot of the bypass, but why would he lie about this, know what I mean? Also, Zemana's GUI is horrible.

    @ Emri or Ida

It's getting pretty close to a year now that ZAL Pro has seen an update. I don't believe it actually needs updating, especially if, like me, one is running it on a legacy OS like Windows 7. :D

I've been following the ZAM thread an see terms like real time protection and IntelliGuard (tho not anti-logging, unless I missed it), both features of ZAL.

What is your strategy for ZAL's further development?

    Thank you.

That's what Armagan told me six months ago. :D Hope he is doing well.

Well, "shortly" is better than "soon." Looking forward to it.

I am a long time user of Zemana Pro and have been very pleased with the program. However,I have not seen any free giveaway licenses in a long time. Mine has expired. Does anyone by chance have one to give and feel generous? Thanks!

Will the GUI also be revamped? It's currently quite bad.

hahaha you made my day :) Thank you :))) Armagan is doing wonderful.

Hello. We are currently not scheduling any giveaways but please PM, I am sure we can come up with an idea for you to "earn" a license key.

Why is it bad in your opinion, can you please share with me? Like what would you specifically like to see improved?
    Thanks!

Especially the rule making and management part is unhandy. This should be better looking without the need to scroll horizontally, see first link. Perhaps you can check out SpyShelter to get some ideas. And why was the firewall feature removed? See second link.

I agree with Rasheed. That tiny window is a bother to deal with, but after few years I got used to it. And one really doesn't need to visit it all that often. But, it would be nice if one could remove/add columns (I don't need Description or MD5 Hash all the time) and sort on the month instead of the day in Date/Time.

Otherwise, the UI is fine. If and when you update ZAL, I hope you don't have any plans to embrace the modern/metro school of vast expanses of featureless, mono color panes with huge blocky fonts of scant detail. Or abandon the level of feature tuning I mentioned over in the ZAM thread.

I forgot all about the firewall in the pre-releases or if it was its own stand-alone or a Windows firewall overlay. By the time I bought my first licenses in 2010, it was no longer a feature. I think. :doubt:

I would also like to know what features the firewall was going to have, and any chance it may be seen again ?

Thanks for the support. I agree that eye candy is not that important, especially if it will use more resources, but the GUI should be functional and handy. I'm really liking this for example: http://www.netlimiter.com/image-galleries/netlimiter-4-0-1-1

Thanks, and what about the firewall?

That UI is representative of the once ubiquitous management console design still under the hood elegantly in Windows Explorer with fully sizable multi-panes (see Services, Event Viewer, Task Scheduler, et al). The management console offers far too much detail for the modern-metro-pretty-pretty low-information gen-millenium geeks. All that data in one window!! Nooooooooooooooooooo...

As for that alpha firewall, I would think that after all these years Zemana has abandoned it and considering the nature of all the overwhelming and subtle differences of networking in Windows, XP to 10, I would prefer they not waste their time with it.

Concentrating on Windows 10 compatibility with ZAL-Pro is most likely eminent (and recently addressed with the ZAL-Free), as it should be, so they don't loose their momentum in the market with a clearly unique and well-founded product.

ZAL-Pro is superb as it is now and enhancement of its core detection/protection features should remain a priority focus as it has demonstrated historically as documented in their change logs.

If Zemana looked like this I would buy it without thinking twice. It's so smooth looking.
It should at least be able to monitor outgoing and incoming connections, but it doesn't have to be a full fledged firewall. The thing is, with Windows Firewall Control you sometimes need to switch to "low filtering", this means that all apps are temporarily allowed outbound access, so you still need a "back up" firewall.

Tho the earliest of my two AntiLogger licenses expires in March 2016, I couldn't pass on this excellent deal. Now I just have to remember I have it when the time comes. :D
