Yes, I also still consider it to be the best sandbox. Others have tried to compete, like SafeSpace, BufferZone and GreenBorder, but they all failed. Technically they were quite good, but they were all a bit bloated and slow.

And did the apps that you ran sandboxed function correctly?

On windows 10 threshold 2, I noticed that the latest version of Total security, which is supposed to support it, doesn't detect files downloaded from internet and saved on the hard disk. It detects only on execution or on right click scan.

OK I see, I just wish they could provide some more technical info about the sandbox. BTW, I forgot to mention that Avast and Comodo of course also offer a sandbox.

Sorry for not replying faster than I should. I just read the message.
That is the program update, that is, date when the program got updated automatically/manually.
    Here's mine for example.
    http://i65.tinypic.com/2pqnmuw.jpg
Date of last update is 13th of November [Friday, anyone?].
On the website, version history for 1058 is 13th.
    Today it's the 18th.
    Conclusion, program update. :)

BTW, if you wish more proactive sandbox, you could look into pairing 360TS with Comodo Cloud Antivirus, which provides on-access sandbox for unknown files.
Should be compatible [undergoing testing phase, looking good so far], as it will not be full blown CIS/CAV, they will/should play nicely.
I do hope that is something you're looking for.

Thanks, I'm not a user of 360 TS, but I always think it's interesting to know how other tools work. The links that you posted are interesting, but I was looking for a bit more technical info about the inner workings, see link. And I don't think I will be using Comodo, I'm already quite happy with SBIE.

Hello, with the Version 8.0.0.1058 I have many problems after the Windows 10 Threshold 2 Update. After 5min all Icons go away from my Desktop and the only think that I can see was the active program for example Firefox. Only a restart from Windows or a new log in helps. But after 5 minutes I had the same problem. Or when I start Winpatrol and want to check the Version if it is up to date then i get the same problem that the Desktop gets empty. Only deinstallation of 360 Total Security helps. Now today an new Version is out. 8.0.0.1062. With this Version everythink looks now fine again.
Another question. Does the Router-Manager works with AVM Fritzbox?

Having HIPS/BB like WinPatrol together with 360? Never wise.
If it is mandatory to use it, whitelist eachother [the whole folder].
As for the router, is it the whole designation?

Hello GakunGak, I don't know if Winpatrol was the problem. Before the installation of Threshold 2 everythink works fine. After that I deinstalled many security programs to find the failure: Hitman Pro Alert, Windprivacy, Appguard. Nothing helps. But now with the new version of 360 Total Security everythinks works fine again and I have all the security programs installed again without a problem. So I think they have fixed the problem with the new version.
As for the router, it is the model AVM Fritzbox 7490. In Germany the Fritzbox Routers from AVM are very popular. It would be nice if they are also supported in the future.

That's a lot of anti-executables and restrictions in one place. I'll have to see Both Appguard and Winprivacy to see what tech they use, and if there's possible clash in protection mechanism between those and security apps. But since latest update solved the problem, it is not on high priority now.
As for the router, thanks, noted. I will forward this to the techies :)

installed latest version, updated ..and now seems false positive seems ...too frequent, it even tagged my graphics drivers (downloaded from official website)

@EternalFunction I have seen 360 TSE give false positives for a number of drivers before. I haven't used it for some time. But on systems I installed it on, it had serious issues with false positives, and on some systems it had none.

Earlier this year 360TS identified the Trojan HEUR/QVM05.1.Malware.Gen in one of the programs I use daily.

It gave the option to add it the Trust List and I did. However still, sometimes, when I run the program it reports it again, even though it is still in the Trust List. Adding the exe's whole folder to the Trust List seemed to reduce the number of times it reported it, but it still happens occasionally.

Am I missing something? Shouldn't Trust List files/folders be ignored regardless of what they have?

I have 360TS 8.0.0.1058 but it was happening in earlier versions too.

PS I reported it to Qihoo support six weeks ago but no reply yet.

@Jaster I believe you should only be notified again if the file is changed.

Please advise on the download link to the drivers you downloaded, thanks.
