Just got the update an hour ago. What is a bit strange is a2hooks64.dll is still shown as ver. 10.0.0.172? Whereas, a2contmenu64.dll is ver. 11.0.0.158.

Any known conflicts with Sandboxie? Since the update, Sandboxed Chrome fails to launch. Does not appear to apply to IE.

Is the "Detection of zombies" feature similar to blocking so called "hollow processes"? And what about blocking of ransomware, is this completely pro active based, so without the help of any signatures?

What about the compatibility with other security softwares? There's no mention about it in the announcement, particularly in the "Emsisoft benefits that haven't changed".

I'm using HMP.A. I hope there's no compatibility issues between them especially now that you have incorporated the "detection of zombies", the anti-ransomware, and later the anti-exploit. :)

Anyway, I'm very, very happy about these developments. Kudos to the Emsisoft team!

Had some really weird slowdowns with any webbrowser, every page took about 1min to load, tried disabling everything and it didnt solve it. Tried reinstall it and the same thing happened. Really weird.

We usually only recompile the components that were actually changed. The context menu extension didn't have any code changes, so there was no need to update it.

I would suggest exculding Chrome from EAM's behavior blocker and see if it makes a difference.

We have been blocking "hollowed processes" since the very first version of our behavior blocker. We just label it as code injection, which is essentially the same thing. We have also blocked ransomware generically for years, using some of the more generic rules targeting malware at large. We just added some more specific rules targeted at ransomware specifically. And yes, none of those changes require any signatures.

Are you using EAM or EIS?

Most likely cause is one of your applications triggering an excessive amount of behavior blocker events. Can you install EAM again and just run DebugView from here:

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/debugview.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

The process causing the problem will be immediately obvious from the DebugView log. Once you determined the process causing the events, you can exclude it from EAM using the instructions here:

I also figured out what is causing the issue. I finished a workaround for it until Sandboxie fixes the underlaying cause. An update should be available via beta updates later today and we will push it via stable update sometime next week.

BTW - there is a bug that started with ver. 10 and has persisted to ver. 11.

I have set my update start time to 9 AM. In ver. 9, that prevented any updating prior to that time. However starting with ver. 10 if I boot prior to 9 AM, EAM will immediately do an update.

Just curious... What's the version of bdcore.dll? (More of an interest in BD SDK than Emsi.) Thanks.
