Its a great company. I used BC for years, especially for hidden containers. They were some of the original developers of some cool coding. I did hack it in a few spots just because I could. LOL!

Their only drawback is that they do not offer an open source project. Their reputation is spotless, but in reality you cannot verify what happens inside their "code box" because its encrypted. I do not have the time or inclination to reverse engineer that, if I even could.

My opinion: if you need FDE and have UEFI hardware I would trust them times a thousand over BitLocker.

At this time I only use Linux for my system disks and therefore I use LUKS for those, while I average about 50/50 Luks and VeraCrypt for non-system disk encryption.

Bestcrypt by Jetico is a decent company with good software. I think I read that they have military clients too using it. Depends on which software you use. I've been using the volume encryption on my OS for many year without any issue. The beauty is that you can convert it to container (connect your hard disk as external usb). It's a matter of trust.

If you're intending to use it for container encryption (not OS full disk encryption), then I suggest you use multiple brands over one another. An example is:
    Container A (Truecrypt) over
    Container B (Diskcryptor) over
    Container C (whatever)

Thus far, I've been using 3 layers without any issue. I know it seems like overkill or paranoid but ultimately it's your own choice.

So, what color is your tin foil hat? LOL! I am joking because it takes one to know one. My preference for off premises archiving is PGP/GPG encrypted everything, with that inside encrypted hidden volumes using XXXXX!
