ERROR: Can not update index file. Insufficient block space. (0x12027)

I've had this error raised on a Windows Server 2008 attempted backup now for three days and can't find an answer to the "insufficient block space" error being thrown. I've searched both the Paragon forums and Googled the error - nothing comes up. I've run a CHKDSK on the backup volume (thinking that the index file must be a part of the backup procedure and not a problem spot on the volume I'm backing up). And, in fact, each time the error is raised, I get the .PBF file generated as part of the backup - but no corresponding .PFM file. The size of the .pbf seems appropriate for a DIFFERENTIAL backup but no .pfm file means no successful backup.

Would really appreciate ANY help you can offer for helping me fix this issue - or at least pointing me in a direction that might ultimately help me get a good backup! Thanks in advance.

What Paragon program are you using? If the VD [.PVHD] format is supported by the program you are using, you could try it. The PBF format is suppossedly kept for legacy compatibility only, to restore old backups.

    Robin -

Thanks for the reply. This is Paragon Server v11 Build 10.1.19.16240_000. Interesting that I can't find a single reference to the error on Paragon's support website for what the error refers to. I did find it listed in the USERS GUIDE - but no reference for how to fix it - only that it's an error that can be raised!
