Hmm, thank you. Helps and concerns. Wish I could pick Norton brain as to their motives.
Um, if I may. Norton action with 22.5.4 degrades additional security layers e.g., Alert.
Can you speculate does Norton action serve to enhance Norton security.
Can you venture a comment on Norton's motives by 22.5.4 change. e.g., security enhance or performance metric, etc.
    Thanks !!!

The HitmanPro.Alert 3 Release History page now specifies build 208 and 209, thanks very much,
but the HitmanPro.Alert 3.0 download link at the SurfRight downloads page still offers 3.0.58.208, not 209.

Nope, it's Windows 8 as I said in the first post. But I had exactly the same issue on Windows 10, on the same device. I'm using HMP.Alert 3.1 Builld 328 currently, should I try to update to build 329?

It was the latest stable version of Windows 10 upgraded from Windows 8.1, I don't know which build it was. As I said, I reinstalled Windows 8.1 and I still have the same issue. The system is almost clean, there's nothing except some preinstalled programs and HMP.Alert.
I will answer any further questions tomorrow.

I know this has been reported earlier in this thread but I have only noticed it today.

If I click the Vault is Closed button on the Norton Toolbar in IE11, HMP.A encrypts / scrambles the keystrokes so I am unable to open my vault. As a work-around, if I open Norton Security UI I can open the vault there. Once the vault has been opened I can then close it and open it again successfully by clicking the Vault is Closed button on the Norton Toolbar.

    Norton Security 22.5.4.24
    IE11
    Win10 x64
    HMP.A Beta Build 329

I also noticed the same with Beta Build 328 before upgrading to 329.

    Thanks.

Edit: For some reason this is only affecting one machine, the machine I did a clean installation of Windows 10 yesterday and not my other Win10 machine. No idea!

If I disable Keystroke Encryption I don't have this problem.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll make sure to do all three PCs as close to each other as possible, to get the greatest benefit for each. :)

Does this issue affect only users of Norton Security version 22.5.4, or users of older versions of Norton products too?

    See post #7032 from erikloman:
............. Norton released update 22.5.4.x causing an Intruder Alert with (unknown) listed at various wininet and urlmon APIs (see here).
Norton now hooks these APIs (new in 22.5.4)................

    Version 3.1.0 build 329, BETA
    Updated fine, but ...
Keystroke Encryption not working with WebrootSecureAnywhere (9.0.6.14) Identity Shield = On, as reported before.
If WSA Identity Shield is set to off, HMP.A Keystroke Encryption works as expected (orange notification), but this is not something one would want to do.
@bjm_ : You told me in PM that HMP.A build 208 Keystroke Encryption does work with WSA Identity Shield = On. I have not tested this, but can you confirm if this is still the case with build 209?

Yep, 208/209 gets me encryption as normal. 3.1 may be better crypt but, no crypt with Identity Shield On.

Hi Hitman official guys. I'm getting a little annoyed with your website - it is not clear as to what is free or paid, so is that a deliberate thing to confuse me? o_O

I have HMPro paid with Alert v3 installed on one PC, 3 year license.

On another PC I found a version of Alert v 2.65 which was free. I went to find the latest version on your download page, but there is only v3 showing, which I recall was paid.

So now I go to find the prices, but there is no price showing for v3.

If I download v3 it is it now free? If paid, can I buy it standalone from the rest of the Pro product?

It's a pity that you don't have a forum on your own website rather than cluttering up Wilders with such commercial matters.

HitmanPro Alert v2 was a free product. Version 2 is no longer recommended and has been replaced with v3. HitmanPro Alert v3 can be used unregistered but it has limited functionality. For full functionality it requires a license. HitmanPro Alert v3 uses the same license as HitmanPro. Since you already have an active subscription to HitmanPro you can activate HitmanPro Alert with the same keycode. I hope this clarifies things for you.

A HitmanPro license works for all HitmanPro named products, including HitmanPro.Alert.

Most features of Alert v2 are still free in v3. Even if you do not activate Alert v3 you get many protective features.
    See also this chart https://www.wilderssecurity.com/attachments/hmpa-version-comparison-png.246705/

You get a trial for some features. When the trial ends you still get a lot of functionality. So Alert is not fully trial-ware, just for some features, see above chart.

We are working on a new website. Sorry for the inconvenience.

To clarify, what happens after 30 days trial exactly, where can I see any restricted functions? By the way, before or during downloading there is no mention of Alert being a trial, this is mis-leading.

Thanks for your suggestion for the license, however my license is on the first PC not the second PC, unless Alert can be used on more that 1 PC with the same license, unlike HMPro?

Perhaps, but I need two instances of Alert, only one instance of Pro. So do I need to buy a second license of Pro just for Alert?.............and I just missed the Halloween special deal!
