Soft Organizer 5.0 Full Version Giveaway. The giveaway page has a link to download the full version of Soft Organiser. No registration is required.
Ashampoo have released version 6 of their uninstaller. I haven't been able to try it yet, but wanted to let you guys know. EDIT: Also they seemed to make v5 free. Code: www.ashampoo.com/en/usd/lpa/Ashampoo_Uninstaller_5
It wasn't aware of that. I just checked their webite and it will be released on the 9th of this month, but they are already selling it. It's looks quite good, but I think I'll stick with IObit Uninstaller.
They didn't release it yet. It's going to be released on 9th November. They only launched pre-orders until 8th November. In the frame of pre-orders you can get it for 19,99 EUR instead of 49,99 EUR which is pretty appealing discount but I will stick with the new IObit Uninstaller as roger_m.
I taught it was released cause Ashampoo had the link up at one point, it seemed they removed it though. Before anybody asks no I didn't download it.
@phalanaxus Here is the link to v6 which also shows the changes. You actually need to search for "ashampoo uninstaller 6" including the quotes in Google, to find the page for v6, otherwise you will only find the v5 page.
@phalanaxus Here is the link. hxxps://cdn1.ashampoo.net/ashampoo/1403/ashampoo_uninstaller_6_e6.00.00_sm.exe I changed the 5 in the download link for v5 to 6, and it worked. Edit: I just installed it, and it takes to a webpage where you can enter your email address to get a 40 day trial license.
So what's the verdict on v5? http://www.ghacks.net/2015/10/21/ashampoo-uninstaller-5-now-free-of-charge/

I've been running the beta of v6 since it was released. One thing I really like about it, is that if it is unable to uninstall a program (e.g. the program's own uninstaller doesn't work), it give you the option of emailing IObit th edirectly from within IObit Uninstaller. I tiwll sned them the details of the program and your contact address. Then they will update IObit Uninstaller so that it knows how to uninstall the program it couldn't uninstall.
That's nice option, providing they revert quickly. What I miss in this version 6 are the direct links to reg editor, reliability history etc. I got used to these options but they removed them (from incomprehensible reasons).
It didn't take them long to send me an upated database to try when I was unable to uninstall Kaspersky Free. When the uninstall failed with an error when using the updated database, they looked into it, and emailed the solutiion which was that I needed to close Kaspersky from its System Tray icon before it could be uninstalled.
How it works? Database shall be merged or ... ? I don't see the option to handle a database in the GUI. Please elaborate it a bit.
They emailed me a new database file to put in the IObit Uninstaller folder in Program Files for me to test.
OK, it's a justifiable way during beta testing. However it can't work with the official live version. Imagine what might happen when an ordinary user starts to play with system folders. If they want to keep this method, they would have to incorporate it into GUI.
I just tested it with a program that can't be uninstalled, as it has an invalid uninstall command. When the software couldn't be installed, IObit Uninstaller gave me a link for detailed uninstall instructions, which lead me a webpage which actually had no uninstall instructions. There was the the option to retry uninstalling the software, and when I clicked on that, it went straight to the scan for leftovers.
Giveaway of the Day, have IObit Uninstaller Pro 6.02 with a one year license as a giveaway for the next 22 hours.
Thanks a lot! I caught it just a few minutes before the end. As I have been using IObit uninstaller free for ages it was a logical step to utilize this generous offer. I run the installer over the existing free version and filled in the activation code. That was all needed to upgrade to the pro version.
Yes, it was simple. I mentioned it on purpose because usually installation of applications from Giveaway needs a *.gcd file.
