You'll be able to switch to proxy mode then. Pros: 1. Less heavy on the battery 2. You can use AG along with some third-party VPN service Cons: 1. AG firewall is limited to HTTP and HTTPS traffic
What exactly does the firewall do when you block wifi and mobile for a App. I turned them off in twitter as a test to see what would happen. I was still able to use twitter as before.
The firewall lets me see how many ads were blocked for each app. In the last 24 hours 347 ads were blocked just from my yahoo sports app. 24 ads were blocked from the cm security a/v app in the last 24 hours.
For some reason, when I remove this app, my bandwidth is reduced significantly, can't break 50kb/s. Post-reinstall, full throttle bandwidth returns!
In the meantime, new beta version has been released http://forum.adguard.com/showthread...-version-2-1-319&p=68486&viewfull=1#post68486
I am having problems with Adguard not auto starting. On boot up the trust screen flashes on and off then dissappears. It then has to be manually started. It seems the Adguard does not trust itself. Is there a cure for this please.
This is because the YouTube uses HTTPS to deliver the ads, which isn't supported in Adguard for Android yet. However they're working on HTTPS filtering right now.
Thanks I will give that a go. In the meantime there is another problem. I have noticed connection problems on my PC and ran RouterStats to check it. When running Adguard mobile there are regular dropped connections as shown in the image. As soon as I disable AG the dropouts cease. Will try the latest to see if it improves.
Yes, give it a try and you will see how it goes. If any of your issues persist, please call attention of @avatar (AG developer)
If the issue persists it would be better if you send us logs. Next time when issue happens: 1. Go to "Menu" - "Send Feedback" 2. Send the message with logs attached 3. Post here the ticket ID (you'll get it in an autoreply email) Do you see there which exact connections are being dropped? At least the IP addresses?
I am using now ver 2.1.356. The flashing has stopped with this one but it will not autostart and does not trust itself to run. I have sent you the log. On the second item that might have been down to me. I have read that the Samsung S4 works better with a fixed IP on Wifi. Having set that solved the disconnections.

Oh you have Android 4, it explains everything. There is a bug in Android 4.X, it forgets about trusted apps after reboot so we have to show the VPN trust dialog every time. Fixed since Lollipop.
I just updated and it looks like i cannot change the icon and have no options. Something about the OS will determine how the icon is displayed.
