    Light as a feather in real-time, performance wise but still no idea of their protective abilities since they are not tested on the main sites ( I do not count Shadowserver).

    @Blackcat On which OS are you using it? How much does it affect system boot time? Lately, I have seen WSA as the lightest ever, and barely affect system boot time.

    @sg09

    I have it installed on a WIN 10 desktop. Yeah boot time is slowed down but not by much here.

    Have not tried WSA so have found DW, Eset and particularly Emsisoft AntiMalware the lightest on performance on my WIN 10 machines.

    Since it's price has come down and it's Real-time Guard is still very light it is worth a look but its slow scan speeds and the lack of recent detection tests are a big disadvantage. The machine I run it on has AppGuard in a layered defense.

    I have Dr. Web on two comouters and have received no notices of an update. How does this work? Do you install version 11 on top of version 10?

    Edit: I found the tutorial. Installing ver. 11 on top of the old version.

    Thank you.
    DW means DefenceWall?

    And yes, their price has really come down. Interestingly, they even offer 50% off if you choose to opt-out their technical support...

    DW=Doctor Web

    Even better if you have used Doctor Web in the past; a pop-up during the installation asks for an old license key. Input mine and I then received an additional 200 days on my license; so £12/$15 was an even better deal.

    The Express Scanner is quite fast now but its main Achilles' heel is that there is no proper testing of its detection rate. Therefore, although cheap licenses are available, I would not recommend running it by itself on someone's main computer.

    Salutations,Friends!

    Just thinking, what if

    > What is the size of the install?
    > Detection rate = what?

    > Also, look at G-Data detection rate and compare?
    > And Dr. Web will not work with Sandboxie,sad:(

    Ummm!

    My Bad. :p I should have understand that...
    That's too good. I also saw that you will get free license of mobile security with a purchase of Antivirus or Security Space. 1 mobile device if 1 PC license, 1 mobile device if 1 PC license, and so on.
    High price had been one of the reasons behind their less acceptability, in spite of the high popularity of CureIt. But, they are surely on the right path now.
    I personally don't think one should really care about it. A good score in tests doesn't mean that product will never fail. Lately, Norton, Webroot also do not participate in such tests. I can anytime jump on Dr. Web because of the reliability of CureIt. I personally use Dr. Web free in all my mobile devices, and was never infected.

    @Rasheed187 I was about to ask the same question. I can't find any, but there are few YT videos on version 11 beta.

    Some screenshots here; although I have Security Space version, my custom install misses out the FireWall, SpiderGate, Parental Controls, SpiderMail.

    Thanks @Blackcat ..:thumb:
    So, it still doesn't have a main GUI, and all these tools and options can be opened from Tray icon only?

    It's strange that DrWeb used to be the leading AV and now it's not even found in any tests, hardly anyone talks about it, it's almost as if it's gone from the AV landscape...

    Been running Dr. Web for a couple of days now and im impressed, really light and quiet :thumb:
    During my limited testing it caught everything i threw at it, what the virus scanner didnt catch the proactive protection caught, and it has great PUP detection :thumb:

    Something interesting : "New in version 11!The new Dr.Web Hypervisor component uses state-of-the art CPU capabilities to upgrade threat detection and neutralisation routines and to strengthen Dr.Web’s self-protection capabilities. The component runs beneath the operating system to maintain control over all programs, processes, and the operation of the OS. It makes sure no malware can gain control over a system protected by Dr.Web"

    Then they shouldn't mind being tested now at one of the main sites ;) :isay:

    Very good changelog, Dr.Web ShellGuard seems to be amazing, but it is a shame that Dr Web doesnt care about anything beyond Russian market.

    I have enjoyed version 11 so far. Running it on a laptop and on Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Humming along nicely.

    I agree, and the brand "Dr.Web" will probably be mentioned in articles when tech websites like PCMag write articles about the labs test results - so it might also be a way to get more people to know about Dr.Web. They shouldn't sit in the shade if they have a product to be proud of and that can compete with the competition.

    The installer is a huge 411 MB download :eek:, very different compared to the "old" Dr Web light setup.

    Version 11 Dr Web antivirus only on Windows 10 is working great.No impact on performance. They have always been one of my favorite vendors. Thumbs up to the Web
