    I highly doubt that China is alone in doing this. North America has this in the form of Experian, Equifax and others.
    In the UK, the current rhetoric and legislative wording to target people who disagree with government views makes me think they must be looking at this.

    From a technical perspective (and to avoid any political discussion) I would say that Five Eyes nations have already collected this information and would be shocked if they didnt think of doing the same thing.
