    Hi there,

I'm trying to create a image backup of my newly installed Win10 using my Paragon software.
I've already created the USB flash WinPE recovery and I was creating the image on my USB external drive when, during the data collection, I had this popup window:

    http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a383/bigbearthechief/2015-10-06_12.27.43.jpg

And I don't know what I have to do......
The volume 0 on disk 0 is my SSD drive C where I have my OS. So, before having trouble I canceled the backup creation, but I need to know how I have to proceed.
I think the request is due to sector-by-sector image backup, but I don't know if this procedure has impact on my Win 10 system or SSD drive.
Clicking on "yes" is it safe?
Please, help me and thanks in advance :)

The message means that the Paragon program couldn´t identify the file system in the partition and so must back it up in raw or sector-by-sector mode, you can just select "Yes".

However, this should not happen with the OS or C: partition, which is usually a NTFS partition that the program recognizes. If this is really the OS partition, something is wrong.

If you are backing up a UEFI system, one of the partitions, the MSR partition, isn´t recognized by Paragon and must be backed up in raw mode. This is a small partition and is NOT the OS or C: partition.

    Thanks for the reply!
Yes, I'm backing up a UEFI system, the whole drive C where my Win 10 is. It's a NTFS partition (GPT volume) on SSD drive. The backup is for all the drive including the Recovery partition and - maybe - the 2 little parttion named Local disk (128 MB) and No name OEM Service Volume (100 MB) as you can see here

I only need to create the full image backup for my system and I'm using the Backup to Virtual Disk wizard with the second choice:
Back up operating system (Back up all the volume that contain operating system).
    Is this the right choice?

    Thanks.

It seems to me that the ESP (EFI System Partition) is lacking in the image you posted. It´s the boot partition, and should be the first one. Are you sure it isn´t there? Try to switch to the list view and check or post the list of partitions, or post the map that the Windows disk manager shows.

It seems that the ESP (EFI partition) is the same that Paragon identifies as "NO NAME".

Returning to your original question, to back up the system you should include the four partitions. Select them manually, and if the program asks about the raw backup, select "Yes". This refers to the first partition in the disk, the MSR partition, that is not recognized by imaging programs and is not shown in the map of the Windows disk manager. You can also simply back up the whole disk.

Thanks Robin for your help :)
So, do you think that's is safe?
But please, tell me how to back up the whole disk. I thought it was exactly what I was doing.
My idea was to create a backup image with all the installed programs.
Then in another drive I wanted to create a different image for an incremental backup, but it is the first time I'm using this program and I'm probably wrong.
And in all different kinds of backup I'm losing my mind ... to old maybe ;)

Yes, it is safe. To back up the whole disk, follow the route "Backup to VD" > "Back up Volumes" > click on "Basic GPT Hard Disk 0..." and check that all the partitions are selected and the external border is highlighted.
