I made a restore usb stick because my laptop does not boot from a cd. I started the restore and the screen is stuck on the picture of a hard drive with lines running through it. I have seen it before for a short time, but this is there for hours. Could this be because this laptop has a one terabyte drive ?

Never had a problem with a restore cd.

You are using s Linux boot USB stick. Maybe it isn´t compatible with your computer. You could try with a Windows-based (WinPE or WinRE) boot USB stick.

That is possible I guess. Why I don't know. Guess I will try that.

Paragon changed the program. Have to use virtual capsule and none of my backup images used that.
I will try an external cd drive to restore from. I have 5 computers using their program and once this one restores, I will dump them.

You can still use the previous image format. Top right of main launcher window is a little tools sign. Click that and select "legacy features"

A repair reinstall cured the problem with VSS.
I did know about the change to Legacy setting, but didn't get that far.
