Surprised by the order. I use the top 3: EEK, MBAM & SAS.

Basically Emsisoft Emergency Kit . Two or three times, since I wanted an additional scan - just to be paranoid :) - i used also Comodo Cleaning Essentials and Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool.

I've used pretty much all of them once in my lifetime, but currently it is EEK, MBAM, HMP, ZAM, and VT. I'd still be using CCE if it was updated and had less FP's.

I use EEK mainly for my PC's. I use HMP followed by MBAM when I'm cleaning other people's PC's. Every once in awhile I'll scan something on VT.

From the descriptions Avira PC Cleaner & eScanAV Anti-Virus Toolkit. I can't tell if they're updatable or if I have to redownload new versions every time.

    I use MBAM.

Panda Cloud Cleaner: I recently tried it on Windows 7. I installed it twice, in both cases it blocked the system completely in strange ways that I had never seen before.

I have used MBAM and HitmanPro. At the moment they are not even installed in my work computers as for the last five years they have never found anything. What's in my signature is more than enough.

If you install it as a portable app using the "copy to USB" option then it will be updateable.

Each time you open it, it'll do a quick download. Of all the on-demand scanners I use, it's the quickest by far to update.

    Autoruns (signature verification, virustotal)
    Avira PC Cleaner
    HMP
    EEK

and manual file verification with PEStudio.

Mine were pretty much in line with the crowd ..... how depressingly tedious ! - :)

    Emsisoft Emergency Kit
    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
    Avira PC Cleaner
    Hitman Pro
    VT Uploader
    -
    Sophos
    ..................

    Sorry Minimalist , I mostly copied your list ..... call me a lazy ~ Snipped as per TOS ~ ( n.colloq. " a person of dubious parentage " )

But joking aside , I'm really surprised how few people voted for VT Uploader ! .... it's such an easy and powerful tool .

And it also looks like very few people are digging Sophos .
