As a loyal Zemana.us customer, we want to let you know that from now on, you will receive emails from IT-Sentry, Inc., regarding Zemana AntiLogger renewal and purchase. We also want to make sure you know that Watchdog Anti-malware is a rebranded version of Zemana AntiMalware for worldwide distribution and features the same technology and functionality.

You will soon begin receiving emails from IT-Sentry, Inc., regarding special offers on Watchdog Anti-malware and other products to keep your computer safe and virus free. I just received this e-mail notification.

Thanks for posting that up, tho it was perplexing at first until I could determine where their email ended and your comment began. Your " key broken? :D

Nothing email from them yet here yet in the south west US. My two licensed ZAL installs, renewed for the sixth time this year, expire in March and September of 2016. So, not much of an impact on me. Good to know that Zemana is expanding their marketing/sales scope.

I have it here in the UK. I am pretty sure that my account details (email etc) shouldn't have been passed to a third party without my permission or giving me the option to decline this. I know I can opt out of the their emails but by then its too late.

Will this affect technical support for ZAL? Or are IT-Sentry just doing sales?

Good Afternoon! Good question pling_man. I'm not the person to ask about Tech Support...but from my experience in Sales and Mktg. Tech Support and post sales are Customer Facing. But contact IT-Sentry too confirm. And I agree with your concerns in regards to E-Mail Ownership and Privacy. Sincerely...Securon

Good Afternoon! Anon as usual...thanks for the timely update...taken from the Malwaretips Forum. My own read on this...is something just isn't right! Notice how emphatically Ida from Zemana...wants to make this a Non-Issue. And the Intrigue Continues. Sincerely...Securon

Well, I dropped email to both IT-Sentry and Watchdog along with the link to this thread. Let's see if they reply.

Update: Got reply from both IT-Sentry and Watchdog yesterday, it is indeed a 100% rebrand of ZAM. I don't know why Ida didn't clarify.

Well, even then it's not something to hide. I mean, reading her replies at malwaretips made me think there were source code breaches at Zemana or something and she's trying to cover up. If it's a business deal why not just say so? Besides users already got emails from IT-Sentry. The reply I got from watchdog mentions that this was done to penetrate North American market, since Zemana is a Turkey based company. Sure it would have nice to hear a reply from Zemana. By the way, her last post here was on Monday, on malwaretips was Tuesday morning and after that no more posts. Coincidence? :cautious:

    Hello guys,

My apologies I was on vacation and now I am back!

IT Sentry is a former distributor of Zemana. We no longer work with IT Sentry. I have already shared that Zemana AntiMalware and Watchdog AntiMalware use the same technology. Nothing new here...And we are not hiding anything.

In regards to your e-mails, you can unsubscribe at any time.

@Securon This is not an issue by any means :)

I hope I have clarified everything here.

    Have a great day!

    Best regards,

    Ida

If you had said that Watchdog is rebranded ZAM, all this confusion could've been avoided. "Uses the same technology" is a confusing term. A bicycle and a car both use the same technology, wheels, but they are not same. :)

However there's something else, if IT-Sentry is a former distributor how come they are sending mails to Zemana customers now?

Thanks from me, I'll ignore this thread now and stick to keeping up with development news and updates via the ZAM thread :)

    Hello,

How about you contact IT Sentry? I am not able to provide you with information as I mentioned we no longer work with them.

It is not a re branded version of ZAM. Simple like that :) Now can we drop this topic once and for all guys? Because I feel like I am repeating myself over and over again, and it's not taking us anywhere. We always let everyone know what is going on, but this whole "re brand topic" is not that interesting :) :)

Let's focus on different things, shall we?

I wish you all a great day!

    Best regards,

    Ida

What do you mean? It's exactly the same, the whole difference is the name and the lack of the feedback form. It was added too.
No offense, but are you sure that you know the definition of "rebranded"?

We advanced users are stubborn knuckleheads = won't let non-interesting topics die.

    Keep beating the dead horse...

  21. Yes, so we can say that it also uses HitmanPro technology :thumb:

A rebranded program is a clone of another program which has only the product name changed. Doesn't that define Watchdog?
